Our Campus Series events ended last week in Rochester, NY at St. John Fisher College after a five week span that started July 3 at Niagara University. Over 250 players attended the Campus Series events with several players showing off next-level talent on the field. Over the course of the next few months we will be highlighting "Top Performer Spotlights" on players who really stood-out at a past event. Let's get started.

Top Performer Spotlight

CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT: The frame is large and shows signs of becoming powerful. Present bat-speed at the plate with power to his pull-side. Moves well for his size defensively, and the arm-strength is only going to get better. I really like the upside from the mound. Durable with broad shoulders, front-side extension on the FB with some hand-speed. Would like to see him get a more full arm-swing on his backside. Excited to track his progress over the next few years.

Campus Series Niagara University (July 3, 2018)

Well built 2020 at 6-foot-1, 205-pounds. Offensively shoulder width stance, slight leg lift for timing, hands load back, barrel path is slightly uphill, 83 mph exit velo with more in the tank has be matures. From the OF he shows a strong throwing arm at 82 mph with carry, aggressive with clean arm action from the OF. Pitching - Simple clean mechancis, repeatable, arm-action is straight back, shorter on back swing and very quick on the front side. Fastball peaked 81 mph but there's more in the tank, curveball has tight hard bit in the upp 60's, CH 71-73 on two planes.
