CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT: Lean and athletic at first appearance with easy projection from the lanky lefty. The bat is loose and repeatable, the glove at the corner is athletic with advanced movements, and on the mound there's plenty to dream on. Already shows a consistent feel for his off-speed, especially a tight slurve-type breaking ball that dives hard late. The fastball has quick hand-speed on the front-side, peaked at 83 mph and there's plenty more in the tank from a loose whippy arm-swing. Burch is a must follow in the 2021 class who hails from the southern-tier of NY. Extremely high ceiling.

St. Bonaventure (July 31, 2018)

Mostly even setup in the box from the left side, very direct to the ball, quiet hands, shows some power to his pull-side gap, loose and fluid swing pace, 80 mph exit velo.  1B active lower half, fields away from his body, moves well laterally, short quick arm-action, strong arm at 77 mph. Pitching – long lean build, smooth pace to his delivery, low effort, releases FB from a high ¾ slot, fastball peaked 83 mph, sat 78-79, CB 65-66 with tight shape. 2021 to keep a close eye on.
