Top Performer Spotlight: 2021 MIF Trenton Rumley (St. Mary's)
April 23, 2019
Over 600 players attended our Preseason All-State events spanning from Feb. 15 - Feb. 24. 100's of players caught the eyes of our professional scouting staff, all with dreams of playing baseball at the next-level. Over the course of the next few months I will be highlighting "Top Performer Spotlights" on players who really stood-out at the Preseason Events. Let's get started.

cevette's quick hit
CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT: There is no other service like PBR, that tracks the players growth, over the course of 3-4 years (including videos in chronological order), giving the player the opportunity to compete against himself, each and every time he takes the field. Trenton Rumley (St. Mary's HS) has taken full-advantage of those opportunities, and has shown his consistent improvements over the course of five events. In the box he's upright and relaxed, loose compact hands, using a leg lift for timing, he generates well above average bat-speed, while keep the barrel mostly level through contact. He's made his bat path more fluid and powerful over the course of five events. He works out from the MIF (I could see a change to 3B) where his lower half is active, glove is clean, and the arm shows signs of more strength to come (currently 78 mph). From the mound, he's gained 10 mph since his first event, now touching 80 mph. I'm excited to see where his development has taken him this June at the NYS Games.
