An athletic build at 6-foot-0, 173 pounds. Ran a 7.66 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- Stands In the box in a tall stance. Simple load actions. Starts with his hands back. Hands drop slightly before entering the hitting zone. Quick in and out of the hitting zone. Showed hard consistent contact all over the field. Gets good use of the lower half. Projects to hit for some power at the next level. Top exit velocity was 90 MPH. Defensively- Sits back in a low wide stance. Presents a big target for the pitcher. Slightly off center. Has a quick exchange and throws from a high ¾ arm slot. Quick release.  Active footwork behind the plate. Top throwing velocity was 73 MPH. Pop time ranged from 2.07-2.09.

 

 

6/6/2018:
Pugliese ran a 7.63-60.  Arm strength from behind the plate measured at 66-MPH with a pop time ranging from 2.17-2.28.
