WEBSTER SCHROEDER WARRIORS 9 - WAYNE EAGLES 4

Senior RHP Tim Nolan scattered 6 hits over 5 innings to earn the win for the Warriors in a non league contest to open the season.  Nolan struggled a bit with his command in the 3rd inning letting up 3 runs but settled down and did not allow a run in his two final two frames.  He finished the day with 5 IP, 6 H, 0 BB, 7 K, 4 ER.

Senior Nate Chase (NCCC) contributed 2 innings of scoreless relief allowing just one hit and one walk and striking out 1.

Matt Bonafede was 3-3 with 2 singles and a double.  He drove in 2 while scoring 3 runs and stealing 2 bases leading the Warriors offensively.  Senior catcher Justin Tynon hit a 2 run inside the park home run for Webster, while Corey Marshall contributed with 2 hits and 2 stolen bases.

Junior Nate Currier allowed 5 hits, three walks, and 3 ER in 3 innings of work for the Eagles. Junior LHP Gordon Leone worked the final 3 innings allowing 1 ER while surrendering three hits and walking none.

Senior 1B Tim Mascari had two hits and two RBI for the Eagles.

WEBSTER THOMAS TITANS 20 - WAYNE EAGLES 1

Senior RHP Jimmy Dawson (St. John Fisher) was dominate for 3 innings in the win for the Titans.  He allowed just one hit, did not walk a batter, and struck out 5.

Junior LHP Bren Smith (Canisius) threw one hitless inning, walking two, and giving up an unearned run.  Junior RHP Ryan Marketell contributed 2 scoreless inning of relief.  He walked 4 but did not allow a hit while striking out 5 Eagles.  Senior Chris Simmons pitched the final inning for the Titans and did not allow a run.

The Titans pounded out 24 hits in a game that featured 18 different hitters.  Andrew Belluco and Alec Konrad both hit inside the park home runs.  Tim Gridley and Nate Grimm had 3 hits for the Titans
