With the conclusion of the 2024 17u National Championship at Lakepoint Sports. We have seen quick hit style notes from each day with video of the prospect. Now lets take a deeper look at some prospects that our scouts saw with full breakdowns of the players they saw.

Phoenix Williams, OF/1B, PDG Academy HS (MD), 2025
Uncommitted. Athletic, quick 6-foot, 185-pound frame, extremely strong day at the plate (7/18), with quality at-bats. Two thunderous barrels up the middle for base hits, and a walk after falling behind, 0-2 in the count. Simple mechanics from the left side, maintains power throughout while utilizing a leg-kick load. Present lower-half with an all-fields approach that matches the plane well. Quick hands, and displays an accurate feel for the barrel.

Jonah Williams, LHP/OF, Ball HS (TX), 2025
Uncommitted. Quick, strong, highly projectable 6-foot-4, 205-pound frame. Impressive first glance (7/18) with quality approaches all tournament, matched the plane on an outer-half FB that was driven into left-center to bring in the go-ahead run, he proceeded to drive another ball deep to left-field for a sacrifice fly. Smokes a triple into the pull-side gap (7/21), continuously finding ways to get on base. Moderately wide stance with minimal load, loose hands held up high and drives the ball hard. A five-star football player out of Texas and ranked no.8 in the ESPN Top 300 for the 2025 class, is making his case for a strong two-way athlete at the next level.

Carson Vick, C/3B, Hillgrove HS (GA), 2025
Uncommitted. Strong, physical and powerful 5-foot-9, 175-pound frame. Displays a strong lower-half with speed and quickness in the arsenal. Ran out an infield single for a base hit, then recognizes the off-speed and smokes one into deep right field (7/18). Just a tad wider than a shoulder width base. Small leg-kick load that generates a strong back-half swing that maintains power throughout. Good pitch recognition and has an aggressive mentality in the box. A wall behind the dish with fluid movements; quickness and bounce, ready to block and flashed the sub 2.0 second pop-time. Multiple high IQ back-pick plays throughout the weekend.

Aiden Zagryn, 3B/OF, Blessed Trinity (GA), 2025
Uncommitted. Strong, powerful 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame with excellent control and balance from the right side. Two line drives cranked deep into left-center for a triple and a double that both almost left the yard with mid to low 90 exit velocities (7/18). Moderately wide stance with hands held high, simple load that gains positive momentum while keeping weight on back-half that generates tons of pop. Advanced feel for the barrel that invites the inside FB, has quick hands and bat speed to do serious damage at the plate. He continues to tear the cover off the ball, and is continuing his tear on the summer as well.

Jackson Freeman, C/1B, Flowery Branch HS (GA), 2025
Uncommitted. Easy, raw power from the 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame. Aggressive at the plate matches with a dog mentality that continues to impress. Moderately wide stance, stays low and balanced, loose hands coiled up lower/back of stance. Generates leverage and tons of upper body torque that produce consistent hard contact. Smoked two at 101 mph, and 96 mph off the bat (7/19). All around strength with good pitch recognition and an aggressive yet controlled swing. High follow.

Brock Bergey, 1B, Marist HS (GA), 2025
Uncommitted. Strong, athletic 6-foot-3, 195-pound frame. Incredible bat-to-ball skills with an accurate feel for the barrel. Smoked two balls deep into left-center for standup doubles, both mid-to-low 90’s exit velo off the bat. Shows maturity in his back half with great discipline and pitch recognition. Easy power, and strong wrists allows for consistent hard contact. Very inviting to the inside FB, extends his arms with aggressiveness and matches plane well.

Mateo Noto, SS/2B, Poly Prep HS (NY), 2025
Indiana commit. Athletic, quick 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame with speed in the hands that result in hard contact and an accurate feel for the barrel. FIts well in the leadoff spot and consistently makes pitchers work, drives the ball with ease and constantly finds ways to get on base. Had a majestic moonshot that left the yard (7/19) that traveled 340 feet at 96 mph off the bat pulled to right field. Short load that gains forward momentum, stays in his lower-half to instill leverage, builds tension throughout; a ferocious upper-body cut that cuts everything in half. Hard contact all week with barrel after barrel. DIsciplined eye at the plate; controlled aggression.

Fuller Morrish, C/OF, Woodstock HS, 2025
Georgia State commit. Morrish just hits. Coming off a huge spring for Woodstock, the incoming senior carried over his torrid pace from the spring into the first day of the 17u National Championship on both sides of the ball. At the plate Morrish collected three hits on the day.The hit tool shined on Wednesday evening as Morrish showed an advanced ability to match plane with an innate feel for the barrel. The RHH showed a mature all-fields approach at the plate coupled with quiet confidence in the box. On the defensive side Morrish put on a clinic behind the dish in all facets. The athleticism jumped off the page as the athletic backstop blocked up balls in the dirt with ease all game long. Also showed off the present arm-strength and presented pitches well behind the plate. Morrish, a gritty player that gets it done on the diamond, will be a name to watch at Woodstock for his senior season and for the coming years at Georgia State.

Mercer Hudson, C/OF, Brookstone Schools HS, 2025
Uncommitted. The physical RHH at 6-foot, 197-pounds, put together a stellar performance at the plate on Sunday afternoon. Going 2-2 with 4 RBI’s in the run-rule victory. With both hits being at an exit velocity of 90 MPH and 92 MPH. Displaying a short compact swing with strong fast hands through the zone. With an obvious feel for the barrel Hudson showed leverage to all-fields with significant impact in the barrel. Gamer behind the dish as well.

Carson Hodges, 3B/2B, Mount Paran Christian School HS, 2025
Uncommitted. Hodges was on the barrel all week over the course of the 17u National Championship. At the plate showing an advanced approach, displaying a short compact swing with fast hands through the zone. Presented a gap-to-gap approach with power to all-fields coupled with excellent barrel control. Consistently posting 90+ MPH exit velocities, highlighting the compact strength as there is real impact in the barrel for this uncommitted bat. An athletic defender with present arm strength that showed off the range picking up a key unassisted double-play on Sunday afternoon.

Landon Arroyos, SS, Grayson HS, 2025
Georgia State commit. Continuing to make a case as one of the best gloves in the peach state. Arroyos showed out at SS during the 17u National Championship. Showing the defensive prowess with immeasurable range to both sides and arm-strength with a lightning quick release to match, the slick-fielding SS makes one unbelievable play right after another. At the plate consistently working quality at-bats with a well-leveraged swing to all-fields the pesky hitter picked up hit after hit. After being a key contributor for Grayson in all facets of their State title run, the incoming senior is poised for another huge year with Grayson in the Spring.

Briggs Cameron, OF, Phenix City Central HS (AL), 2025
Uncommitted. Cameron was a force to be reckoned with at the plate on Sunday. The smooth swinging lefty picked up three hits across the double-header all to the pull-side. Collecting two doubles and a single at an exit-velocity of 94 MPH. The incoming senior creates leverage to the pull-side with the athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 165-pounds. Showcasing the ability to get synced up and find barrels at a high rate. The dynamic dual-sport athlete has an obvious above-average feel for the barrel and will be a name to watch in the spring, for a loaded Central-Phenix City team.

Matthew Major, 3B/SS, Troy Christian HS (OH), 2025
Tulane Commit. At the plate Major is the definition of controlled aggression, taking vicious hacks. The physical RHH at 6-foot-1, 200-pounds put together a massive performance at the plate on Monday afternoon. Demolishing one over the left-center field wall at 369 FT/99 EV. With a swing geared to generate considerable pull-side carry. Following up the home-run with a single up the middle at an exit velocity of 90 MPH. There is significant impact in the barrel for Major as the power upside is massive.

Brayden Seabold, RHP, North Forsyth HS, 2025
Uncommitted 6 foot 1 170 pound frame that has performed all summer in multiple outings. We’ve really gotten a lot of quality looks this spring and summer at Seabold and each time he produces. He lives in the upper 80’s with a pure 2SM FB that has gotten upwards of 20” of HVB which is truly off the charts. Seabold showed good feel for mixing in a 2500+ spin CB that comes out high then dives away from RHH. Seabold is a premier GA uncommitted RHP that is a pure workhorse.

Adam Yazel, MIF, Gardendale HS, 2025
Calhoun CC Commit came out day 1 and performed for Top Gun White. Went ¾ with two loud knocks at 93+ EV. Yazel looked the part at a good 6 foot 1 180 pound frame that showed present power. Yazel will thrive on the Juco circuit and will definitely be a name to watch this upcoming fall and spring.

William Tonsmeire, OF, Vestavia Hills HS, 2025
The Southern Mississippi commit had probably one of the best single game performances this week at the 17u National Championship. Going 3 for 3 which included a HR that came off the bat loud at 97 and traveled 352FT, as well a backside triple to tie the game up for his Excel team in the bottom of 7. Just a pure performer that has banged in every game we’ve watched this summer. Electric athlete.

Kevin Moore, C/3B, Ballard HS (KY), 2025
Uncommitted. Moore has shown some real prowess with the bat this week. The left handed hitting catcher is an on base machine that consistently finds the barrel in the middle of the order for Louisville Sting. He has a nice and controlled load with no wasted movements, using a smooth leg lift as his timing mechanism. He has a true whole field approach as well, leading to plenty of loud swings to both gaps. Moore is an already exciting bat that has a lot of upside as he continues to develop even more power in his already impressive swing.

Drew Harmon, RHP, Sequoyah HS (GA), 2026
Uncommitted. Harmon had a rocky first inning in his Wednesday night start. However, he settled in very nicely after, recording 8 straight outs via the strikeout through the next 3 innings. He filled up the zone with his live fastball and produced plenty of swing and miss with the pitch. He paired that with a slider with great sweeping action and a 12-6 curveball that fell off the table. Harmon has been impressive on the mound all summer, and it was really exciting to see him find his groove after a rough start in the first inning. He truly showed his ability to pitch and battle, and I loved the competitiveness he showed in this outing.

Matthew Evans, SS, Redan HS (GA), 2025
Uncommitted. Evans was a bright spot in the run rule win for Braves Scout Team on Sunday afternoon, mashing a no doubt, 2 RBI home run at 337 feet. The bat speed and feel for his barrel is very present, and Evans looks very comfortable with every pitch while he is in the box. He also looks more than comfortable at shortstop, using his elite hands and great athleticism to make every play to him look easy. Evans is power, speed, and fielding combination makes him one of the more exciting uncommitted players of the week.

Adam Wideman, RHP, Walton HS(GA), 2024
Pensacola State College commit. Had a very impressive start on Thursday. Struggled with command a little in the first inning, but was still able to battle back and get hitters out. After that he was able to settle in nicely and show off his stuff. He was able to keep hitters off balance mixing up his fastball and slider nicely and get hitters to take some very poor swings. Was able to generate a lot of weak contact and swing and misses. Used a two pitch mix that consisted of a fastball that was 86-88 and topped 90 and a slider at 77-78. Final stat line: 6.1IP/3H/1ER/2BB/6SO.

Merrick Rapoza, 3B/1B, Clay HS(FL), 2025
Uncommitted. Very good look on Friday as he was able to go 2-2 with a double and 2RBIs. He showed good feel for the barrel as he showed the ability to go to all parts of the field. Strong physical frame at 6’2” 220 that can generate a lot of power to all parts of the field. Has a quiet and simple approach at the plate with a toe tap to keep everything in sync and gets good hand separation and drives his hands through the zone.

Caden Reeves,C, Chapin HS (SC), 2025
Troy Commit. Friday morning Reeves absolutely torched one over the left field wall that left the bat at 101 exit velocity. Really lets the hands work well through the zone with a lot of power to all parts of the field. Reeves has a big strong frame and is a great vocal leader and an absolute dawg behind the plate.

Owen Graf, RHP, Anthony Wayne HS (OH), 2025
Uncommitted. Impressive look at Graf Thursday morning in relief. Fastball was up to 94 and was established in the upper half of the zone consistently 12/6 CB plays well off it. He has an easy delivery with a ton of arm side life and a very repeatable delivery. He rotates well into landing and the ball just explodes out of the hand. Big time arm that's due for a big senior year. Owen Graf is a very intriguing name to keep on the radar in the class of 2025.

Cohen Rogers, OF/1B, South Forsyth HS (GA), 2025
Uncommitted. Big fly on Saturday morning that went 352’ FT and left the bat at 92 EV. Rogers is a smooth lefty bat that creates great separation and can adjust to breaking balls which allows him to hit to all parts of the field. Consistently likes to make an impact on the basepaths as well 6.94 runner.

Joe Crenshaw, C/OF, Lovett (GA), 2025
Richmond Commit. Lots of loud contact all week from the spiders commit. Truly an advanced feel for the barrel, he creates great separation with a beautiful toe tap load and his hands fly through the zone. Good frame at 6’1 185 with a ton of athleticism. Also a big time threat behind the plate and on the basepaths.

Rodney Dunham, RHP, Myers Park (NC), 2026
Uncommitted. Prominent two sport athlete in the state of North Carolina, top 50 national football player in the class of 2026. XL frame at 6’5 205 with plenty of more room to add on. Fastball topped at 90 with bore and his slider made a tough combo for hitters to deal with. Dunham is still very young and has a lot of juice still left to unlock. Definitely a name to look at for in the class of 2026 in both football and baseball.

Kyler Schuessler, OF/LHP, Shawnee Mission East (KS), 2025
Uncommitted. Big durable frame at 6’2 205 with immense power to go to all parts of the field. High leg kick that generates a ton of raw power from the lower half. Consistently finds barrels. Sunday Schuessler hit a rocket into the LCF gap for a double. Left the bat at exactly 100.0, Schuessler is also a + runner, ran a 6.74. An all state outfielder this past spring in the state of Kansas. Kyler Schuessler is a name to know.

Cam Tellefsen, 3B/1B, Landstown (VA), 2025
The Old Dominion commit showcased some high end power and bat speed throughout the week. He racked up plenty of loud barrels starting off with a solo homerun to open up the week in the opening game. It continued throughout the week as he consistently hit 95+ EV including two EV’s over 100. Tellefsen gets in rhythm with a controlled load that lets the hands explode through the zone. It is a lean 6’4” 215 pound frame with more room to add strength that is starting to generate power consistently. With a corner profile it fits with the power upside.

Brady Hoover, RHP, Spotswood (VA), 2025
Uncommitted. The strong 6’2” 190 pound right hander made a statement this week when he threw two complete games leading his team to two wins. In each of the starts Hoover showed a calm and composed demeanor no matter the situation and made big pitches when needed to get his team back into the dugout. Hoover showcased his pitchability and mix to keep hitters guessing. He ran the fastball up to 89 sitting in the range 85-87. The go to secondary was the mid seventies slider that he could throw in any count as a get me over as well as a finisher with some late depth. He finished up with fourteen strikeouts in his two starts to cap off the week.

Clayton Armah, RHP, St. Johns College (DC), 2025
The Auburn commit made two appearances this week and was nothing short of electric. It is a wiry 6’4” 190 pound frame with projection left. It's an easy operation from a high slot that creates a downhill plane. Armah ran the fastball up to 94 and sat comfortably 89-92. He showcased a four pitch mix featuring a curveball, slider, and changeup all for strikes. The fastball was the bread and butter as he picked up plenty of swing and miss. The two breaking balls were a good mix to keep the hitter’s guessing. There is pitch ability and starter profile with Armah. As the velocity continues to tick up and the secondary continues to develop, he can be a big name to follow heading into the spring.

Aaron Van Tuyle, RHP, Heritage (VA), 2025
The Richmond commit impacted the game in different ways this week whether it was on the mound or at the plate. Van Tuyle had save opportunities out of the bullpen and was successful in those attempts. It is electric stuff as he works in the 89-91 range with the fastball that has plenty of riding life. He has an advanced feel for his low eighties slider that he can throw in any count. The fading changeup is an underrated pitch that he uses for left handed hitters that has fade and tumble that creates swing and misses. Van Tuyle was equally as impressive in his at bats as he showed feel for the barrel with some power to the pull side as he picked up a 360 foot homerun. There is two way intrigue for the Spiders commit.

Ryker Butcher, SS, (NC), 2025
Uncommitted . Butcher got things started in a big way on Saturday; hitting a 383- foot home run to left in his first at bat at 100 exit velo. He only continued to impress with a single in his third at bat and swiped a bag. The number 6- rated shortstop out of North Carolina showed out at the 17u National championship at lakepoint. He features an athletic swing, showing off his quick twitch movements with plus pop he created through elite separation and quick hands. Projectable frame.

RHP/ OF Nick Hutchinson (OH), 2026
The uncommitted righty out of Ohio impressed heavily on our look Saturday. Hutchinson’s ability to pepper the outside corner allowed him to go through a tough canes lineup that’s loaded with d1 hitters. He only allowed 1 hit through 4 innings. Did a great job commanding the fastball and showed the ability to steal strikes with his gyro- style slider while also burying it for the put-away pitch. The rising junior fractures a long & wiry 6’1 / 150 LB frame with more room to grow & mature into his body. High leg kick but very slow and controlled. The low to mid 80s velo comes easy.

Bryce Palms ‘25 LHP, Dematha Catholic (MD)
In the Richmond Braves Platinum 2025 third bracket play game of the day the uncommitted lefty dominated a physical Tidewater Phillies lineup. Lean and athletic 5’11” / 175-lbs build, quicker paced delivery with shorter arm action from a low three-quarter slot. Moved the fastball east and west that sat 85-87 through most of the game topping at 89 in the first. Tunneled a sweepy slider at 76-79 off the fastball, throwing it back foot to righties for whiffs as well as backdooring it for freeze strikes. Changeup at 78-80 cut at times but had good depth off the fastball plane. Forced lots of weak contact and racked up the whiffs as he no-hit the Phillies through (5) IP.

Mason Murphy ‘25 RHP, Radford (VA)
Physical 6’3” / 210-lb frame, the uncommitted righty gets down the mound with ease, full arm swing from high three-quarter slot and has late life on the 87-89 mph fastball that has ride at the top of the zone. The fastball paired well with a sharp gyro shaped slider that forced uncomfortable whiffs from right-handed hitters. Also showed a bigger 11/5 curveball that mixed timing. Had control of all three early, painting the outer third with the fastball and getting swing and miss on the elevated heater, tunneling the gyro slider for chase. However, it was a shorter outing for the big righty due to scattered command after a couple unlucky breaks on weak contact.

‘25 Carter Schaffner RHP, Yorkville (IL)
Impressive three inning look from the uncommitted 6-foot-4 righty. Clean repeatable delivery with a loose full arm action from three-quarter slot. It was a heavy dose of heaters that sat mostly 88-89 but ran it up to 91 multiple times and 92 once. Threw only one CB at 71 that needs to develop if he wants to get advanced hitters out, however through his three innings of work only allowed one hit and struck out four batters. Fastball had ride, working mostly away and elevated with tons of whiffs.

25' RHP Caden Coblentz (OH)
Uncommitted. Coblentz settled in nicely after battling through some command issues his first inning. Ended up going 5 innings to help his team get the W. The 4- seam fastball was his go to, establishing it up in the zone to get swing and miss and complementing it with a solid mid 70s curveball. He worked 86-88 on the first but settled in at 82-86. Uber- Projectable 6’4 180 LB, but still repeats his delivery well and velocity comes easy. Excellent arm speed and leg block.

25' SS/ RHP Damon DeVine (AL)
Uncommitted. Devine doesn’t stand out physically, but his presence on the bump is hard to miss. The right hander came out of the pen for top gun pumping tons of strikes and carver up a talented NMC lineup. The go- to pitch was his 83-86 MPH fastball, which had great carry up in the zone: 16-21 induced vertical break with spin rates north of 2200 from a lower release height. Also showed two different breaking balls; an mis 70s slider with about 2500 rpm’s, and a more 12/6 breaking ball which reached upwards of 2600. The ability to command the zone and spin two different breakers like that can’t he underestimated. Athletic Lowe half with well synced up and ease of operation. Rotates extremely well.

Tanner Carson, 3B/RHP, Southlake Carroll HS (TX) , 2025
Uncommitted 6 foot 4 220 pound physically stands out and looks the part immediately. However, what really stood out to me this week was the consistent up the middle approach and adv’ feel for barrel at this size. Saw two 97+ EV knocks in the same game to the same part of the field off two different pitchers. Power is already present, very repeatable swing as well. Good defender with immense range and the arm stands out.

Cody Underwood, SS/RHP, Tennessee, 2025
Didn’t get the most extensive look at Underwood but from what I saw it was flat out impressive. Throwing 92 alone is impressive enough and will get looks but throwing 90+ from over the top and from a Lower ¾ / Sidearm AA is what really caught my eye. Initially watching the live arm stood out with good pitch characteristics on the FB, then underwood dropped the arm and threw a 91 MPH FB from a sidearm AA that rose up and in on a RHH and it immediately had the fields attention. He did this multiple times in the outing and mixed in a hammer CB. Uncommitted and will definitely be a name to watch in the upcoming years.

‘25 Benjamin Cardone C/MIF, Highland School (VA)
The 5’9” 180-pound uncommitted C/MIF isn’t the most impressive in stature but his high motor is a separator on the field. Behind the plate Cardone is more than serviceable with soft hands that work bottom up in the zone and the motor doesn’t quit when balls are in the dirt sacrificing his body making out of frame blocks look routine at times. The catch and throw is also present with recorded in event pop times at 1.95-2.05 with a catcher velocity of 78. In the Richmond Braves second bracket play game of the day on Monday he got a great break on a popup down the first base line from second base sliding into the wall to make the out. Active feet in the infield with athletic actions ranging from forehand to backhand. There is enough present arm strength to play any infield position as it has carry across, up to 83 mph infield velocity in event. At the plate Cardone has continuously shown a mature approach working gap to gap with loud contact. It is a balanced setup and creates some timing with his hands as they work slightly back to create separation. Makes good swing decisions without much chase, level barrel path that allows him to drive the elevated fastball with backspin as he roped a 94 exit velocity single into center on Monday.

2025 OF/LHP Will Coleman (IN)
Uncommitted. Coleman displayed huge strike throwing ability in our look on Monday. The southpaw was absolutely dealing, throwing 6 scoreless innings stiking out 10 batters and only walking 1. The fastball sat mid to upper 80s, topping out at 88. The main off speed was his sweeping breaking ball, mid 70s. He also flashed a solid changeup primarily to right handed hitters. He’s got a good 6’2 170Lb frame with strength there but also room for more as he matures. The delivery is controlled and repeatable with late aggression that gives the FB some jump.
