2019 Scout Day: Ohio Elite (Central) - Sneak Peek

The Arms

Andrew Deyhle SS / RHP / Moeller, OH / 2020

Body Type: 5-foot-11 178-pound prospect with a medium, athletic build.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Threw from a ¾ arm slot and showed a quick arm and a smooth athletic delivery.
Fastball: 81-83 mph fastball was mostly true through the zone with minimal action.
Curveball: 64-67 mph curveball was a big, slow breaker with decent shape and spine but did have a bit of a ‘hump’ in it at times.
Changeup: 72-73 mph changeup showed potential and at times some depth and cutting action.
Pitchability: Pretty good feel and command for his three pitch mix. Had no issues getting all his pitches to both sides of the plate.
Role: Solid three pitch mix with good feel and command makes him a starter type at the high school level. Neither of his secondary offerings presently grade out as above average, so to stick in a starting role at the next level at least one of his secondary pitches would need to improve.
