Massillon Perry senior right-handed pitcher Matthew Kittelberger is an imposing 6-foot-6, 205-pound prospect.

At the Top Prospect Games in June, Kittelberger sat at 83-84 mph with long arm action through a high 3/4 slot. He complemented his fastball with a 65-66 mph breaking ball.

After the June event, he received interest from several programs in Ohio.

"I don't have any solid offers yet, but I'm interested in Akron, Toledo, Walsh, and Marietta," he explained.

Kittelberger breaks down his top schools.

Akron - "I love everything about it there. The campus is awesome, the coaching staff is great. I also like that it is close to home."

Toledo - "Coach Bradford has seen me pitch a few times and has showed some interest. We've emailed back and forth."

Walsh - "I like the campus and how everything is so close. I like the field at Walsh. We play on it all the time for my summer team."

Marietta - "A D3 power. Coach Rosen has seen me pitch a few times and was really interested. They want me to visit."

Up until this point, Kittelberger has only taken a visit to Walsh.

"I've officially visited Walsh University and met with Coach Mead for about an hour. He's been watching me play for about 2 years now," Kittelberger noted.

In addition to the four programs listed, the big righty has received interest from schools such as John Carroll, Denison, Ohio Weslyan, Bluffton, Grove City, Mount Union, Tiffin, Adrian and Lake Erie.

At this time, Kittelberger's eventual college destination is still up in the air.

He concluded, "I don't have a strong leader as of now. I want to see what this fall will bring before I decide on something."
