Inside the Recruitment: '15 LHP Aaron George commits to Tiffin

Aaron George, LHP, Wadsworth HS, Class of 2015

PBR: Why did you choose Tiffin?

George: I chose Tiffin because the school academically has a lot to offer and I'll get to play for knowledgeable coaches who will make me a better player.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

George: Hiram College

PBR:  Where did Tiffin first see you compete?

George: I believe they first saw me at Drew Saylor's All American Baseball Camp's Scout Day in the fall of my junior year.

PBR: Coach Wilkins has brought a lot of excitement to the Dragon baseball program in his first full season.  What are some of the skills that you will bring to the table Tiffin?

George: I'll bring my ability to throw strikes and pitch efficiently in any situation.

PBR: What kind of role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?

George: The coaches don't expect me to have a big role my first year but want me to develop and gain velocity for the future.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?

George: That would have to be my pitching coach Josh Nice. I've been working with Josh since my freshman year and he has made me into a completely different pitcher.  He really pushes me to my limits all winter which has allowed me to be successful once the season comes around.

PBR:  Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience?

George: I play for The Express Baseball Club out of Norton. My best experience would have to be all of the out of town tournaments we have been to or our tour of Ohio State's baseball facilities we took with Coach Beals during Buckeye Elite two years ago.

PBR: What were your stats for this spring season at Wadsworth?

George: Last Spring I only saw the varsity mound for two innings during a Suburban League game against Nordonia.  I ended up getting the win and finishing my innings in under 20 pitches and without giving up a run.

PBR: Who is the best hitter that you have ever faced?

George: The best hitter I have ever faced has to be my Wadsworth teammate Alex Laikos.  I've been playing against him for as long as I can remember and he's always been difficult to keep off base because his patience and his ability to fight off pitches until he gets one he likes.
