PBR: Why did you choose Cornell?
Lepper: I chose Cornell because it was the best fit for me. I was able to find a great baseball program that matched up with a school of highly regarded academics. Cornell is also a good financial fit for my family.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Lepper: The other schools that I was considering were Bowling Green, West Virginia, and Brown.
PBR: Cornell is a very prestigious school academically. How much of a challenge will it be to balance both academics and athletics at the same time?
Lepper: I have no doubt that it is going to be a challenge that will have me up late at night studying. However, this is something that I have done my entire high school career and the transition from high school to college should go smoothly.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Lepper: I played for the Cincinnati Flames over the summer. The most memorable experience that I had was being a part of the first every Flames team to make it to bracket play in the Perfect Game WWBA National Championships.
PBR: What person has the greatest impact on your baseball career and why?
Lepper: Ken Hatfield has had the greatest impact on my baseball career. Having been my coach since 9 years old, he has molded me into the baseball player that I am today.
PBR: What were your stats this spring season?
Lepper: No stats, due to injury.
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced?
Lepper: The toughest pitcher that I have faced is Rodney Hutchinson out of Mason High School
