PBR: Why did you choose Miami?
Krause: I chose Miami because it was the right fit for me. The academics are second to none. The baseball facilities are amazing, and the coaching staff made me feel right at home.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Krause: I was also considering Ohio University.
PBR: Coach Hayden is in new era at Miami. How does it feel to be a part of the Redhawk family?
Krause: It feels great to be a part of the Redhawk family. I loved seeing the brotherhood and chemistry the team has, and I can't wait to get on campus and become a part of it.
PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals individually as you prepare for your senior season?
Krause: As I prepare for my junior season I am looking to gain more strength and speed while becoming a more polished ball player.
PBR: How does it feel to be a part of a Division 1 baseball program?
Krause: It feels awesome to be a part of a Division 1 baseball program. This has been a huge dream of mine ever since I started playing, and for it to finally become a reality is unbelievable.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Krause: I play summer ball for Midland. My most memorable experience this summer was hitting my first home run in a Midland Jersey.
PBR: What person has the great impact on your baseball career and why?
Krause: My dad has had the greatest impact on my baseball career. He is always there to help me improve my game, pick me up when I'm down, and let me know what I need to fix.
PBR: What were your stats last spring season?
Krause: Last spring I hit .493 with 13 doubles, 3 triples, 3 home runs, 29 RBI's, .581 Obp., .867 Slg., and 1448 OBS.
PBR: Who is the best pitcher that you have ever faced?
Krause: The best pitcher I have ever faced is Jack Perkins from Team Indiana.
