2/12/17 6-foot-3, 230-pound frame. The Miami (OH) commit had an impressive showing at the plate. A strong kid with advanced feel for the barrel. Gets on plane early allowing him to use both sides of the field, while creating early bat speed. Natural tools are there and he has the look of a guy who will hit for a high average at the next level. At first base he brings above average athleticism to the position. Mechanically sound with solid glove skills. Plays the position with confidence.
6/7/16 A two-way prospect with a 6-foot-2, 216-pound strong frame. Starts in a tall setup before using a leg kick to incorporate his lower half efficiently. Gets the bat through the zone with obvious batspeed. Showed off his strength by registering an exit velocity of 95 mph. Took an impressive round of batting practice with gap to gap pop. Ran a 7.5 60-yard dash. Has some lateral mobility at first base. Average glove skills at this point. Needs to play lower. Threw across the infield with impressive 86 mph arm strength. On the mound he shows some choppy rhythm in his delivery. Shows good direction to the plate, landing on line at foot strike. Delivery requires some effort. Loose, long back arm action into a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 80-84 mph. Curveball shows sharp 11/5 break at 70-72 mph. Changeup sat 76-77 mph.
6/2/15 6-foot-3, 215-pound big projectable frame. Really put himself on the map with his performance. Still young but showed good range for his age and throws from a loose, 3/4 slot with an impressive 83 mph arm strength across the diamond. He will have to quicken up his exchange and not wind up as he gets older. Was really impressive at the plate especially in the game with 3 hits and one of them being a triple. Right-handed hitter that is spread out and balanced. Flat barrel with good power. Registered top exit velocity of 87 mph and ran 4.79 home to first. On the mound the righty has a fast tempo delivery that requires a lot of effort. Lands closed which causes him to throw across his body. From a high-3/4 slot his fastball sits 78-80 mph with occasional cut to it. His breaking ball needs to be more consistent at 66-70 mph with 11/5 tilt when in the zone. Also, showcased a changeup at 76 mph with good arm speed and some sink. Should be a prospect if he keeps progressing.
2/7/15 6-foot-3, 215-pound projectable build. From the infield he projects as a 3B type right now for his age. Shows limited range and throws from a ¾ slot with some life in his arm. Right-handed hitter that uses a leg kick to load and dives in the ball. Shows strength and power to the pull side with 83 mph exit velocity and ran 4.71 home to first. On the mound he lands closed and throws across his body. Throws from a long, high-¾ slot with his fastball sits 80-82 mph with occasional run. If he can get in line his command of all three pitches will improve. Shows a breaking ball with 11/5 tilt at 69-72 mph and his second best pitch is his changeup with good arm speed at 73-75 mph
