Caden Kaiser, OF, Olentangy HS, Class of 2019

PBR: Why did you choose Ohio State?

Kaiser: I chose Ohio State because of the culture and positive leadership that I saw within the coaches.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Kaiser: Wright State and Xavier

PBR: Where did Coach Beals first see you?  How did your relationship develop with them?

Kaiser: Coach Beals first saw me at a PBR showcase. My relationship with him has grown tremendously since that time. I feel that we both have baseball minds that think a lot alike.

PBR: Ohio State is close to home.  How much of a role did distance play in your decision?

Kaiser:  Distance did not play a role in my decision it just so happens that Ohio State is not too far from home for me.

PBR: What are you and the coaching staff’s expectations once you step on the OSU campus?
Kaiser: When I get there as a freshman, my goal is to contribute in as many ways as I can to win every given day.

PBR:  Who do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable experience?

Kaiser: Bo Jackson Elite Silver. My favorite experience was turning a triple play.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?

Kaiser: I was very open minded about what to expect and I didn't want to force anything wth any coaches or programs. As soon as I knew the time was right, and I knew this is where I wanted to be, then it is what it is and that's where I'll be going.
