#19 Loveland beats Oak Hills 10-0

Walnut Hills was no match for the Loveland Tigers with the Tigers coming away with a 10-0 victory in 5 innings at Loveland High School on Friday evening.

On the hill for the Tigers was second year letterman Bryce Plitt. He held Walnut Hills with 2 hits over 5 innings Friday. He allowed no runs and only walked one. His fastball was coming in around 83-84 mph, which blew away the Walnut Hill’s players. He also used a sharp curveball working which kept the hitters off balance.

The Tigers didn’t take much time to get the runs on the board by putting across 3 runs in the first inning. There were numerous pass balls and wild pitches which the Tigers capitalized on to get runners into scoring position.  They scored on two wild pitches in the first inning of the game.

The runs continued to come across the plate in the second inning with the Tigers scoring 3 more runs to continue the lead to 6-0. Before the damage started, Reed Schlesner  (Miami University Commit) got into scoring position in the second inning by a heads up base running on a walk which he ran to first and then continued on going to second safely.  Ryan Altman started the rally by ripping a 2 run RBI single which gave them a 5-0 lead. A couple batters later Jacob Meyer hit a run scoring double which gave them the 6-0 advantage.

They got two more runs in the third inning to back up Walnut Hills against the wall as they increased their lead to 8-0 . Reid Waddell had a 2 run single. Ryan Altman collected more RBI with a single. Waddell finished the game going 2-2 and Altman finished the game with 5 RBI’s.

The Tigers ended up getting two more across in the 4th to take the lead to 10-0. Plitt closed the door in the fifth and recorded a complete game giving the Tigers a 10-0 victory over Walnut Hills. Plitt ended the game with a two hitter on Walnut Hills.

The Tigers will continue their hot season vs. Bishop Watterson at 12 o’clock Saturday, April 13,  trying to move their record to 12-2.
