Millersville Marauders Announce 2016 Early Signing Class

By Greg Williams
PA/WV Director of Scouting

The Millersville Marauders and head coach Jon Shehan have announced the signing of ten players to National Letters of Intent, including six standouts from Pennsylvania. The Marauders went 45-11 in 2015, including a 22-6 mark in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. Millersville will look to build on last year's PSAC Championship and its march to the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional finals.

2016 PA EARLY COMMITS

Noah ClementNoah Clement, IF, Roman Cathlic
PBR Rank: #117 in PA Class of 2016 rankings
PBR Notes:
2015 PA Top Prospect Games (June 16, 2015) Clement starts from a slightly open stance, strides to square, and loads his hands to a good launch position. At times, he will sit on his backside, lose posture and add length to his swing, but when he gets his weight transferred, he flashes bat speed and allows his hands to work. Defensively, Clement exhibits good feet, a clean exchange, and a quick arm.

Brandon HarperBrandon Harper, OF/1B/RHP, Middletown Area
PBR Notes: Harper has shown continued progress over the past 18 months, growing into his 6-foot-6, 190-pound frame. The 6.70 runner has shown the ability to play several defensive positions and may yet find his way to the mound. A three-sport standout, Harper was named the MVP of the Keystone Klash this past summer. His size and athleticism should allow Harper to compete for time at a number of spots on the diamond.

Drew MillerDrew Miller, LHP, East Pennsboro
PBR Rank: #77 in PA Class of 2016 rankings
PBR Notes:
2015 Preseason All-State Showcase (2/15/15) Miller pitches out of a three-quarter slot from a simple, no-rocker-step delivery with good direction toward home plate. His fastball registered at 81-84 with occasional cut action and he did not appear to be maxing out from an effort standpoint. His 66-68 curveball had solid 1/7 action and his straight 69-72 change-up had occasional sink. Miller's tall, lean frame has plenty of room to add strength and projection left in it.

Brandon WhiteBrandon White, OF, Dallastown Area
PBR Notes: White is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound outfielder with above average defensive skills and the potential to be a middle-of-the-order hitter at the next level. A .339 hitter as a junior, White helped lead Dallastown to a district playoff appearance. White showed some pop with five double and a triple and flashed solid foot speed swiping seven bases.

Tyler Yankosky, RHP, Wyoming Valley West
PBR Rank: #74 in PA Class of 2016 rankings
Tyler YankoskyPBR Notes:
Yankosky fits the mold of the type of pitcher that the Marauders have routinely recruited under Shehan. The 6-foot-6, 190-pound right-hander is long and lean with room to add to his frame and his upper 80s fastball. Although he will likely only pitch at the next level, Yankosky was a key contributor at the plate and at first base when not pitching during Wyoming Valley West run to the AAA state title game in 2015.

Aaron Yurko, 1B, Dallas
PBR Rank: #133 in PA Class of 2016 rankings
Aaron YurkoPBR Notes:
Yurko is a physical right-handed hitter that has shown the potential to be a run producer at the next level. The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder has displayed the ability to drive the opposite field gap and is one of several recruits in this class that will compete for early playing time at first base.
