We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Ohio’s Northern Ohio Underclass Preview. This was a great opportunity for the class of 2016, '17, '18 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their workout.

Aaron Vazquez, RHP/2B,  Elyria Catholic, 2016

5-foot-11, 150-pound skinny projectable frame. From the infield he projects as a second baseman. He fields the ball into his body with a clean exchange. Throws from a ¾ slot with 67 mph arm strength across the diamond. On the mound the righty has a slow tempo delivery, with a controlled leg lift and easy arm action. Throws from a high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 73-75 with some arm-side run. He has a tendency to get on the side of his breaking ball at 62-63 mph and a slider with tight spin at 66-67 mph. Right-handed hitter that stands tall with a toe tap to load. Swings down on the ball with top exit velocity of 76 mph and ran a 7.26 60-yard dash.

Adam Lemmo, RHP/OF, Glen Oak, 2016

6-foot-1, 190-pound average build. On the mound the righty has a slow tempo delivery that gets to his balance point and create down angle. Throws from a short, high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 75-78 mph. He shows good shape and depth on his 12/6 breaking ball at 62 mph and showcases a solid changeup at 67-68 mph with good arm speed.

AJ Kimes, LHP, Aurora, 2016

6-foot-1, 170-pound average build. On the mound the southpaw uses a big ¼ turn in his delivery to hide the baseball. He lands on his heel but on line at foot strike. Throws from a long, high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 80-81. Shows really good feel of his breaking ball at 71-72 mph with a 1/7 break. Has good arm speed on his changeup at 77-79 mph which is too hard at times.

Alex Rollins, 2B/SS, Walsh Jesuit, 2016

5-foot-9, 145-pound athletic build. From the infield he projects as a second baseman. Shows soft hands and winds up when he throw from a low-¾ slot with 74 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Start tall with a leg kick to load and a high finish. Registered top exit velocity of 78 mph and ran a 7.76 60-yard dash.

Anthony Lind, 3B/RHP, Gahanna Lincoln, 2016

6-foot-1, 185-pound solid build. From third base he shows a quick, clean exchange. Throws from a short-¾ slot with 78 mph arm strength across the diamond. Left-handed hitter that is spread out and starts open and gets to even. Shows good balance and bat speed at 88 mph exit velocity. Ran a 7.36 60-yard dash. On the mound he has a slow tempo delivery and throws from a short, high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 78-81 mph. Shows a slider with good late action at 71-72 mph and good arm speed on his 73-74 mph changeup.

Antonio Bennett, SS/RHP, Clearview, 2016

6-foot, 170-pound athletic build. From the infield he shows good range, soft hands and good exchange. Throws from a ¾ slot with 81 mph arm strength across the infield. Right-handed hitter with good balance and load. Shows quick hands and a flat path with power to the pull sided. Registered top exit velocity of 90 mph while also running a 6.93 60-yard dash. On the mound Antonio has a slow tempo delivery that speeds up at the end. Throws from a high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 83-86 mph with good arm-side run. Breaking ball sits 67-69 mph with slow 11/5 break and a changeup at 69-74 mph. Also, showed a knuckleball at 65-67 mph.

Beau Workman, OF/3B, Northwest, 2016

6-foot, 185-pound athletic build. From the outfield he does a good job utilizing his crow hop. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 84 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that has an athletic stance with little stride and a solid flat bat path with some power to the pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 83 mph and ran a 7.21 60-yard dash.

Brandon Dim, OF, Solon, 2016

5-foot-10, 160-pound wiry, projectable frame. From the outfield he opens up a bit on his throw. Shows good arm strength from a high-¾ slot with 83 mph velocity. Left-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Short stride, flat path with a high finish. Registered top exit velocity of 72 mph and ran a 7.62 60-yard dash.

Canyon McWilliams, 1B/LHP, Shaker Heights, 2016

6-foot, 190-pound solid build. Very versatile prospect that shows he can play multiple positions. From the outfield he comes through the ball well with an impressive 87 mph arm strength from a high-¾ slot. At first base he shows good footwork around the bag and a clean exchange. Throws from a short, high-¾ slot with 78 mph velocity across the diamond. Left-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Good rhythm in his swing that sprayed the ball during batting practice and showed a 78 mph exit velocity while running a 7.51 60-yard dash. On the mound the southpaw uses a big leg kick and get on-line at foot strike. Throws from a high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 77-80 mph. Breaking ball with a late 1/7 break at 66-68 mph and showcased a changeup at 68-69 mph with good arm speed but sometimes holds on to it too long.

Charlie Broski, RHP/3B, Olmsted Falls, 2016

6-foot-1, 185-pound average build. On the mound the righty has a clean, good tempo delivery that he can repeat. Throws from a high-¾ slot with his fastball sitting 74-76 mph with some cut to it. Breaking ball has a big 11/5 break at 67-68 mph. Also, shows a changeup with good arm speed at 68-70 mph with some fade.

Clark Mayberry, C/1B, Bowling Green, 2016

6-foot-2, 175-pound projectable build. From behind the dish he slings the ball from a short-¾ slot with pop times between 2.12-2.18 and 73 mph arm strength. If he can clean up his direction his accuracy will improve. From first base he shows really good range and throw from a high-¾ slot with 80 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that is spread out for balance and does not stride. Shows some power from a flat bat path and top exit velocity of 87 mph. Ran a 7.44 60-yard dash.

Collin Marks, C/3B, Walsh Jesuit, 2016

5-foot-9, 165-pound athletic build. From behind the dish he has a clean exchange and throws from a high-¾ slot with pop times ranging from 2.08-2.18 and 76 mph arm strength. From the infield he has soft soft hands and clean exchange with top velocity of 78 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter with good set-up and uses a leg kick to load. Has short compact swing with some power and top exit velocity of 84 mph. Ran 7.59 60-yard dash.

Colton Thomas, OF/LHP, New Philadelphia, 2016

6-foot-2, 180-pound projectable frame. From the outfield open up on his throw from a low-¾ slot with 84 mph arm strength. Left-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Has good rhythm and uses little load with an uphill swing. Registered top exit velocity of 74 mph and ran a 7.12 60-yard dash. On the mound the projectable lefty has a quick tempo delivery with a low-¾ slot. Fastball sits 77-79 mph with some arm-side run. Breaking ball has good shape and a late 1/7 break at 67-68 mph. Shows good arm speed on his changeup at 73-74 with some arm side run to it also.

Devonte Washington, C/3B, Twinsburg, 2016

6-foot-1, 178-pound athletic build. From behind the dish if he creates momentum toward second base it will increase his arm strength and pop times. Throws from a high-¾ slot with pop times of 2.40-2.44 and 70 mph arm strength. He projects more as a third baseman. Shows soft hands and good exchange and 77 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts with toe closed and uses a leg kick to load. Quick hand and flat finish with 85 mph exit velocity and ran a 7.25 60-yard dash.

Dominic Dimora, C, Mayfield, 2016

5-foot-9, 175-pound solid build. From behind the dish he has quick exchange and throws from a high-¾ slot with top pop time of the showcase at 1.97. Shows 79 mph arm strength from home to second. Right-handed hitter that stands tall and uses leg kick for his load. Hands are a little too far away from his body with an uphill swing. Registered top exit velocity of 86 mph and ran a 7.23 60-yard dash.

Harrison Gross, RHP, Orange, 2016

6-foot, 165-pound projectable frame. On the mound the righty show a repeatable delivery with good direction. Throws from a short, high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 78-80 mph with arm-side run. Struggled with feel of breaking ball at 68 mph, but showcased a good changeup with good arm speed and command at 73-74 mph.

Ian Swan, RHP/1B, Hudson, 2016

6-foot-2, 200-pound big projectable build. The righty has strong lower-½  with a slow tempo delivery that he is able to repeat. Easy arm action with his fastball sitting 80-82 mph with good life to it. Throw a 12/6 breaking ball with some depth at 65-67 mph and showcases a solid changeup at 69-72 mph with good arm action and sink to it.

Jack Longo, OF, Mayfield, 2016

5-foot-11, 170-pound athletic build. Speed is the name of the game for this outfielder as Jack ran an impressive 6.72 60-yard dash. From the outfield he projects as a centerfield type. Jack really attacks the ball well and throws from a short, high-¾ slot with 78 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even with a short compact swing and top exit velocity of 84 mph.

Jake Budyka, 3B/RHP, St. Edward, 2016

6-foot, 170-pound strong build. From the outfield he throws form a short-¾ slot with some effort in his throw and 83 mph arm strength. In the infield he field the ball into his body and throws from a high-¾ slot with 77 mph velocity across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that stands tall with high hands. Swing gets in and out of the zone with 81 mph exit velocity. On the mound the projectable righty has good tempo to his delivery and can repeat it. Pitches from a high-¾ slot with fastball sitting 79-80 mph and a 12/6 breaking ball at 65-67 mph. Showcased a changeup with good arm speed at 71-73 with life.

Jeffrey Laraway, SS/OF, Avon, 2016

6-foot-3, 187-pound projectable build. From the outfield he opens up on his throw from a high-¾ slot with 79 mph arm strength. In the infield he shows good footwork with good exchange. Throws across the diamond from a high-¾ slot with 74 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that starts his hands high with little leg kick and flat path. Registered top exit velocity of 84 mph and ran a 7.19 60-yard dash.

John Marshall, 1B/RHP, New Philadelphia, 2016

6-foot-5, 250-pound strong, projectable frame. From first base shows good footwork around the bag especially for his size. The big target throws from a high-¾ slot with 79 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter with a little leg kick that swings down on the ball. Shows strength in swing and if he can keep his bat in the zone longer he will create more power. Registered top exit velocity of 87 mph and ran a 7.73 60-yard dash.

Joe Raffin, 2B/RHP, Brecksville, 2016

5-foot-10, 160-pound average build. From the infield he has a tendency to field the ball into his body. Winds up on his throw from a high-¾ slot with 79 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts his toe in and high elbow. Swing path is in and out of the zone with 77 mph exit velocity and ran a 7.55 60-yard dash. On the mound the righty has a slow tempo delivery with a short stride. Throws from a short-¾ slot with fastball sitting 80-82 mph with some arm side run. Shows a slider with feel and good late break at 70-73 mph. Also, showed a changeup with good arm speed at 77-78 mph, but sometimes holds on to it too long.

Joseph Contreras, RHP/3B, John F. Kennedy, 2016

6-foot-5, 200-pound big projectable build. From third base he fields the ball into his body. Throws from a high-¾ slot with some effort in his throw and 78 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that is spread out with a short compact swing with power to his pull side. Registered a top exit velocity of 83 mph and ran a 7.59 60-yard dash. On the mound the big righty has a little herky jerky delivery with long arms and good finish. Throws from a ¾ slot with fastball sitting 80-84 mph. Showcases a slider at 69-70 mph with late break and a changeup at 76 mph with good arm speed.

Justin Liserio, 2B/OF, Lorain, 2016

6-foot, 160-pound athletic build. From the infield he shows good footwork and clean exchange. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 77 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Uses a short-compact swing that has a tendency to pull off a bit. Sprayed the ball during batting practice with 77 mph exit velocity and ran a 7.26 60-yard dash.

Mac Schoenman, OF/2B, Hudson, 2016

5-foot-8, 140-pound athletic build. From the outfield he projects as a centerfield type. Has a tendency to take too many steps before his crow hop. From over the top he shows good arm strength for his size at 83 mph. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Uses leg kick to load and showed quick and and good path. Registered top exit velocity of 87 mph and ran and impressive 6.88 60-yard dash.

Payton Booth, RHP/3B, Heath, 2016

6-foot-2, 205-pound big body build. From third base he is aggressive attacking the baseball. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 83 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that is spread out and uses a leg kick for his load. Uphill swing with power to the pull side and top exit velocity of 89 mph. Ran a 7.95 60-yard dash. On the mound he stands tall on his delivery which causes some down angle on his fastball at 80-82 mph and some arm side run. Throws from a short, high-¾ slot with good arm speed on his breaking ball at 67-70 mph with a 11/5 break. His changeup ranges from 72-76 mph with real sink to it.

Sam Shelt Palm, SS/2B, Calvert, 2016

5-foot-9, 155-pound athletic build. From the infield he showed one of the best hands of the showcase. Has soft hands and quick, clean exchange with 75 mph arm strength from a high-¾ slot. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Little leg kick that rotates well on his back side with a high finish in his swing and sprayed the ball during batting practice. Registered to exit velocity of 79 mph and ran a 7.43 60-yard dash.

Sam Stewart, 2B/3B, Granville, 2016

6-foot, 170-pound solid, athletic build. Sam showcases a lot of tools. From the infield he shows a good exchange while throwing from a high-¾ slot with 86 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even with bat speed and an uphill swing with power to the pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 91 mph and ran a 7.11 60-yard dash.

Sean Darmafall, OF, Elyria Catholic, 2016

5-foot-8, 165-pound solid build. From the outfield he shows good arm strength from a long armed ¾ slot with an impressive 86 mph velocity from right field. Left-handed hitter with a slightly closed stance and high elbow. Uses a good load with quick hands and some strength in his swing. Registered top exit velocity of showcase best 94 mph and ran an impressive 6.89 60-yard dash.

Tristan Roth, RHP/SS, Woodmore, 2016

5-foot-9, 175-pound athletic build. From the infield he shows good range and winds up on his throw. Decent exchange from a short, high-¾ slot with 76 mph velocity across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that uses a toe tap and a uphill swing with 86 mph exit velocity and also ran a 7.43 60-yard dash. On the mound the righty closes himself off at foot strike with a fastball sitting 77-79 mph from a high-¾ slot and some sink. His 12/6 breaking ball has solid depth at 70-71 mph and showcased a changeup at 72 mph with sink.

Vinny DiGeronimo, LHP/OF, Padua Franciscan, 2016

6-foot, 190-pound solid build. On the mound the southpaw showcased three solid pitches. He has a simple repeatable delivery. From over top his fastball sits 71-73 mph with some down angle. Has command of his breaking ball at 61-63 mph with 11/5 break. His changeup has good arm action at 66-67 mph with some cut to it.

Zach Brown, 3B/RHP, Clay, 2016

6-foot-1, 175-pound solid, athletic build. From the infield he fields the ball into his body with a good exchange. Throws from different arm slot with 73 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Shows good balance and flat path through the zone. Registered an impressive top exit velocity of 89 mph and ran a 7.30 60-yard dash. On the mound he has a slow tempo delivery that is online at foot strike. Has tendency to push the baseball from a short-¾ slot with fastball sitting 79-83 mph. Showcases two breaking balls. Curveball has good shape and able to throw for a strike at 63 mph. Gets around his slider a bit at 64-65 mph, but has some late action. Also, showed a changeup at 68 mph.
