Ohio Insider: Top Uncommitted Senior Sleepers

With the Summer season coming to an end and the 2015-2016 high school sports season as well as fall ball getting underway, we would like to take a look at some of the top uncommitted prospects at each position.

Today we are gonna take a look at the top uncommitted senior sleepers in the Buckeye State. This is comprised of prospects ranked in the lower half of the rankings or unranked. We will look to create a few top uncommitted lists each week, as you can see by our 2016 Rankings, 2017 Rankings and 2018 Rankings there are numerous talented prospects available.

Top Uncommitted Senior Sleepers

Jack Goonan, RHP/C/CIF, Ayersville
Ranked: 132nd in Ohio's 2016 class
Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 235-pound big, projectable build. Legitimate two-way prospect. On the mound, has a regular tempo delivery with some effort to it. He is on line at foot strike and throws from a high-3/4 slot. His fastball sits 85-87, up to 88 mph with some down angle and sink to it. Has good depth on his breaking ball with 11/5 tilt at 71-74 mph. With more consistency. work and innings on the mound, he could turn into a power arm. Over at first base he fields the ball into his body and shows good footwork around the base. Over at third base he shows decent range for his size and fields the ball out in front of his body. Shows 82 mph arm strength across the diamond. Behind the plate he has a wide frame. Gets his feet in line for his throw, but needs to quicken his transfer. Pop time ranged from 2.10-2.20 with 81 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter with a good load and an uphill swing with some power to pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 87 and ran a 7.81 60-yard dash and a 4.79 home to first.
