The 1st Annual Prep Baseball Report Ohio Preseason All-State Teams have been roughly 11 months in the making. In the course of the past year, our scouts have seen many prospects in game action as well as on video. We have compared notes with college coaches across the region and have come up with what we feel is a solid rendering of the top high school baseball talent in the state heading into the 2013 season.

We will name three All-State Teams at the conclusion of the season that will take into account game performance during the course of the season. Those teams will represent the top players by position.

The preseason team is captained by the No. 1 ranked player in the Ohio Class of 2014, RHP Cameron Varga (pictured right) from Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, who is also the No. 1 ranked player in the PBR combined rankings covering eight states. Varga, who recently moved from Florida, is committed to the University of North Carolina. The two-way standout has a fastball that reaches into the mid 90’s.

The remaining 13 spots on the First Team are filled by 12 seniors and 1 sophomore. All of the seniors have signed to play Division I baseball.
