Ohio Top Ten Breakdown: Top Viewed Prospect Profiles - #4 Ty Duvall

Ty Duvall#4 Ty Duvall, C, Lebanon, 2016 (Vanderbilt commit)
Scouting Report from 2013: 5-foot-11, 185-pound left-handed hitting catcher with solid build. Registered a 7.59 60-yard dash. Behind the plate, he shows advanced skills. Uses short arm action. Quick feet with little wasted movement. Transfer is clean and repeatable. Stays low through his throws. Pop times ranged between 1.92-2.01. Reached an impressive top velocity of 83 mph from the crouch. At the plate, the left-handed hitter utilizes a strong lower half. Shows an advanced approach. Quick hands into the zone and the ability to hit to all fields. Registered a top exit velocity of 95 mph off the tee.

Overview: In 2016, the impressive catching prospect came in at the #3 spot in the state rankings and 108th overall for PBR. The Lebanon product was unable to compete this past spring for his high school team due to an ACL injury. That said, look for Duvall to compete at the highest level during his time at Vanderbilt.
