Preseason Preview: Edison HS

Edison High School has all of the ingredients for a successful season and a deep run in the Division III state tournament out of Northern Ohio.

With six returning starters from the everyday lineup and the core of the pitching staff, the Chargers are looking to improve on last year’s 20-10 finish. This includes competing for the Sandusky Bay Conference title against the likes of Perkins, Port Clinton, and Clyde. 

Class of 2013

  • SS/2B, Trenton Emody – The Baldwin Wallace recruit hit .311 with 19 RBI last season.
  • 1B/3B, Alex Bixler – Hit .295 with 23 RBI as a junior

Class of 2014

  • LHP, Adam Wroblewski – 6-foot-2, 195-pound lefty earned Honorable Mention All-Ohio after going 8-4 with a 1.30 ERA last season.
  • Of/LHP, Austin Utter – Hit .311 last season while compiling a 3.47 ERA.
  • C, Tristen Ball
  • SS/3B, Chris Smith

Class of 2015

  • LHP, Adam Wolf – The 6-foot-4, 170-pound lefty could emerge as one of the state’s top sophomore prospects with a fastball that already reaches up to 85 mph.
