Last year, Lakota West finished with a record of 18-2 as they finished second to Mason in the GreaterMiami Conference.

This year, Coach Dreisbach’s squad returns five returning starters and four returning pitchers. With a surge of young talent, the Firebirds will be looking to fill the gaps and contend in a talented southwestern region.

Class of 2013

  • RHP A.P. Novak – Looks to make an impact on the mound after a strong summer.
  • OF/IF Mike Anderson – The left-handed hitter compiled a .360 average with 3 homeruns and five doubles last year.

Class of 2014

  • LHP/1B Grant Schuermann – As a sophomore, the southpaw logged 50 innings while compiling a 2.64 ERA and 48 strikeouts.
  • OF Blaine Griffiths – The switch hitting Xavier recruit emerged as one of the top outfield prospects in his class over the summer and fall.

Class of 2015

  • IF/RHP Austin Allinger – As a freshman, the talented prospect primarily played the field while compiling a .329 batting average. This year, he will be expected to contribute on the mound as well.
  • C/IF Ronnie Murphy – The Moeller transfer is a strong, physical prospect that figures to compete for playing time behind the plate.
  • 1B JJ Johnson – The Moeller transfer figures to be one of the top power bats in the Lakota West program and will be counted on in the middle of the Firebird lineup.
