UNCOMMITTED SPOTLIGHT- STANTON HAS 'SOMETHING TO PROVE'
Spencer Stanton 1B / LHP / Massillon Jackson, OH / 2019Rankings StateRank: 36 / POS: 2
MASSILLON - While Massillon Jackson was winning the Division I state championship back in June, Spencer Stanton was looking ahead. A sophomore at the time, Stanton was a member of the junior varsity team for the Polar Bears last season. “It picked at me a little,” Stanton admitted about not being on the varsity roster. “It’s something I had not gone through before. But I wouldn’t have the chip on my shoulder I do now to have something to prove.” That motivation has helped the 6-3 205-pound junior become a prized commodity on the Division I college baseball recruiting scene. |
