Aaron Kienzle, OF, Columbus DeSales HS, Class of 2014

5-foot-9, 175-pound prospect with solid, athletic build. From the outfield, shows long arm action through an over the top arm slot. Reaches top velocity of 73 mph. Needs to shorten length of transfer and exchange. At the plate, the left-handed hitter shows a balanced set up with a short stride. Reached top exit velocity of 78 mph off the tee. Registered a 7.29 60-yard dash. 

Andrew Minton, IF, Milford HS, Class of 2014

5-foot-8, 175-pound infield prospect with solid, athletic build. Likely projects as a second baseman at the next level. Shows decent lateral range with quick transfer and arm action. Reached a top velocity of 81 mph across the infield. At the plate, the right-handed shows quick hands through the zone and consistently squared up the baseball. Registered a 7.38 60-yard dash. 

Aaron Mowery, RHP/IF, Marysville HS, Class of 2015

5-foot-8, 160-pound two-way prospect. Two-way player with baseball skills. Undersized, but exceptional stuff on the mound. Good delivery with deception. Has quick arm speed through 3/4 to low 3/4. Aggressive with fastball; shows lots of arm side run ranging 85-87 mph. Has feel of slurvy type breaking ball with bite, throws to both sides (71-73 mph). In the field, he has the arm strength (78 mph) to play short, but likely projects as a second base type. Shows good feet and hands with good arm strength. Ran 7.21 60 yard-dash. Hits from open stance with some upper cut. Needs to improve finish.

BJ Donathan, C, Tippecanoe HS, Class of 2014    

5-foot-10, 190-pound catching prospect. Strong bodied kid with defensive skills. Has low positioning with lateral movement. Frames well. Reached top velocity of 72 mph from the crouch. Needs to keep working on footwork and glove to hand exchange to increase split time (2.07-2.12). Offensively, he shows an upright stance with back knee bend, squares barrel on ball well with future power bat potential. Needs to be more consistent in clearing front side and bat finish. Registered a 7.66 60-yard dash.

Chace Culver, RHP, Wapakoneta HS, Class of 2014

6-foot-3, 180-pound pitching prospect. Tall lanky bodied hurler with physical projection. Has balanced repeatable delivery with moderate arm speed throuh upper 3/4 slot. Gets arm extensions but would like to see enhanced lower body finish to improve velocities. Fastball ranged from 80-83 mph (we have seen him up to 87 … he threw on short rest for this event). Curve shows downward spin but needs better fell. Decent arm action on change (78 mph).

Christian Steele, 1B, Lebanon HS, Class of 2015

6-foot-5, 195-pound. Likely projects as a first baseman at the next level. Shows good length and reach around the bag. Reached top velocity of 70 mph on his throws. At the plate, the left-handed projects as a future middle of the order bat. Shows good power potential. Consistently squares the ball up while taking short path into the zone. Reached a top exit velocity of 85 mph off the tee.

Derek Turner, RHP/OF, Defiance, Class of 2014

6-foot-2, 165-pound prospect. Two position player that presently projects best as a pitcher. Lanky body with physical projection. Could be another of long line of Defiance hurlers. Repeatable delivery with good arm extensions and lower half finish. Struggles with some balance issues at times, but easily correctable. Quick arm speed through 3/4 slot. Aggressive with fastball. Shows cut action ranging 83-86 mph with more to come. Has good feel on downward two plane curve ball at 68-69 mph. Didn’t show a  changeup. Ran 7.3 60 yard dash. Likely projects as a corner outfield. Shows quick arm action with top velocity of 80 mph. Squares barrel on ball well with good finish. Timing could be improved by shortening or controlling stride.

Drew Paolercio, C, Elder HS, Class of 2014

5-foot-9, 150-pound catching prospect. Showed consistent pop times between 2.14 to 2.24 with a top velocity of 74 from the crouch. At the plate, the right-handed hitter starts with a wide base and uses a high leg kick. Needs to continue to better incorporate lower half. Shows quick hands into the zone. Registered a 7.4 60-yard dash.

Frank Cioffi, RHP, Walsh Jesuit HS, Class of 2014

6-foot-3, 170-pound righty with tall, solid frame. Shows good arm action through high ¾ arm slot. Displays above average arm action. Delivery requires some effort. Fastball sits 78-81 mph with some arm side run. Curveball sits at 65 mph with some depth. It is soft, but he locates it well for strikes. Also uses a 72 mph cutter. 

Gary Clift, OF/RHP, Brunswick HS, Class of 2015

6-foot, 150-pound prospect. Registered a 7.15 60-yard dash. Shows long arm action through a high ¾ arm slot for a top velocity of 75 mph. Needs to consistently play through the ball to aid transfer and exchange. At the plate, the left-handed hitter starts with a wide base and uses a long stride. Shows good hands and consistently squares the ball up well. Power potential that will only increase as his frame fills out. On the mound, shows average arm speed through a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball sits 77-80 mph. Curveball sits 63-66 mph with gradual 11/5 break. Pounds the zone with plenty of strikes.

Jeremiah Johnson, 1B/OF, Moeller HS, Class of 2015

5-foot-11, 205-pound prospect. Offers good offensive potential at the next level. Hits from wide base. Shows bat speed into zone with long finish. Squares barrel on ball with line drive pop to all fields. Shows some approach at this stage of his development. Swing could improve with lower half consistency. Reached top exit velocity of 89 mph off the tee. Registered a 7.28 60-yard dash. Moves well around the bag with above average defensive skills.

Jett Swetland, 3B/RHP, Highland HS, Class of 2015

6-foot-2, 185-pound two-way prospect. Body has physical projection. 7.25 60 yard dash with good arm strength (80 mph) across the diamond. Good bat speed from shoulder trigger. Squares barrel with definite power bat potential. Has good lower half, but needs to improve on balance of swing. Reached top exit velocity of 91 mph off the tee. On the bump, has cross body delivery with moderate arm speed through 3/4 slot. Fastball shows some late life in zone, ranging 83-86 mph. Has makings of off speed. Curve shows some downward bite (73-74 mph). Also uses a cutter that shows some bite (76-77 mph). Changeup is basically straight (77-78 mph).

John Malott, OF/RHP, Milford HS, Class of 2015

6-foot-1, 160-pound prospect with thin, lanky frame. Registered a 7.3 60-yard dash. Uses long, loose arm action through a high ¾ slot with some carry on his throws. Reached a top velocity of 78 mph. Still needs to improve transfer. At the plate, he shows a good approach. Contact type hitter that does a good job of squaring the ball up. Overall good balance to his swing. Top exit velocity of 83 mph off the tee. On the mound, the right-hander uses a slow rhythm. Shows average arm speed through a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball sits in the low to mid 70’s. Curveball shows some spin at 62-63 mph and changeup is straight while sitting at 60 mph.

Jordan Elam, OF/RHP, Bethel HS, Class of 2014

6-foot, 180-pound prospect with solid, athletic build. Registered a 7.51 60-yard dash. Throws through a high ¾ arm slot. Reached a top velocity of 74 mph with some carry on his throws. Needs to continue to quick transfer. Shows good approach at the plate. Smooth, balanced swing. Will improve as he better incorporates his lower half. On the mound, the righty sits at 76-77 mph with his fastball. His curveball sits 62-65 mph with some downward spin. His changeup stays straight at 68-69 mph.

Jordan Ramey, OF/IF, Moeller HS, Class of 2015

5-foot-5, 130-pound athletic prospect. Undersized at this time, but displays exceptional athleticism and versatility. Definite follow in Class of 2015. Registered a 6.8 60-yard dash. From the outfield, he shows carry on his throws with quick arm action and a top velocity of 81 mph. Needs to continue to quicken transfer. In the infield, he shows soft hands, but needs to improve transfer and accuracy on throws. Reached top velocity of 75 mph. Likely suited for second base in the infield. At the plate, he shows balance in his swing. Uses a short stride with quick hands into the zone. Overall, displays fluid rhythm with line drive production. Will only get better as he physically matures.  

Kyle Davis, 3B/C, CHCA HS, Class of 2014    

6-foot, 180-pound prospect. Solid bodied player with good baseball skills. Reaction type infielder that projects as third baseman or offensive second baseman. Good feet and lateral movement with arm strength (81 mph) from all throwing angles. Good offensive qualities. Balanced stance with bat speed into zone. Squares barrel on ball with lower body finish. Has future power bat. Reached top exit velocity of 85 mph off the tee. Ran 7.21 60 yard dash.    

Kyle Holdsworth, 2B, Walsh Jesuit HS, Class of 2014

5-foot-10, 165-pound infield prospect. Registered a 7.38 60-yard dash. Takes good route to the ball. Shows average hands. Needs to continue to improve transfer. Shows short arm action with a top velocity of 77 mph across the infield. At the plate, the right-handed hitter shows some balance to his swing. Doesn’t have a lot of wasted movement. Contact type hitter with line drive production. Reached top exit velocity of 81 mph off the tee.                       

Nick Lubanski, C, Turpin HS, Class of 2014

5-foot-9, 165-pound catching prospect. Has good lateral blocking ability, keeps butt down and frames well. Has arm strength (76 mph). Needs to improve glove too hand exchange (split 2.0-2.05). Has balanced hitting stance with bat speed into zone with long finish. Needs to get physically stronger to enhance durability.

Nick Mancini, OF/IF, Olentangy Orange HS, Class of 2014

5-foot-11, 160-pound prospect. Registered a 7.56 60-yard dash. From the outfield, he shows long, loose arm action with a top velocity of 78 mph. in the infield, he projects as a second base type with average actions. Needs to improve fluidity of footwork and staff off heels. At the plate, he uses a short stride and short path to the ball. Displays average bat speed. Contact type hitter with line drive production. Reached top exit velocity of 80 mph off the tee. 

Riley Minorik, 2B/SS, Walsh Jesuit HS, Class of 2015

5-foot-11, 160-pound infield prospect. Shows quick arm action with a top velocity of 76 mph across the infield. Displays good potential, but needs to improve fluidity of footwork and route to the ball. Overall, smooth actions that should improve in time. At the plate, the right-handed hitter shows good use of his lower half. Squares the ball up well. Top exit velocity of 77 mph off the tee. Registered a 7.42 60-yard dash.

Roger Danison, OF, Bloom Carroll HS, Class of 2015

6-foot-1, 165-pound outfielder. Good prospect for the next level. Body has physical projection. Good raw skills. Ran 7.1 60-yard time with arm strength (80 mph) and carry from corner outfield. His bat is his best tool. Upright stance with solid shoulder trigger from the left side. Very good bat speed into zone with long finish. Reached a top exit velocity of 91 mph off the tee. Squares bat barrel on ball with future power potential. Gets good lower half torque with finish.

Travis Auth, IF, Walsh Jesuit, Class of 2015

5-foot-7, 135-pound infielder. At this point, projects as a second baseman. Needs to continue to develop physically. Shows average footwork and hands that should improve with time. Reached a top velocity of 66 mph on throws across the infield. At the plate, the switch hitter is consistent from both side. Diplays short, level path to the ball. Contact type hitter. Needs to better incorporate lower half. Registered a 7.27 60-yard dash.

Ty Shoaff, LHP/1B, Walsh Jesuit HS, Class of 2014

6-foot-1, 225-pound left-handed pitching prospect. Stocky bodied pitcher that projects best at next level on the mound. Good balanced delivery with downward tilt plane to the plate. Upper 3/4 arm slot with moderate arm speed. Good extensions and finish. Fastball shows some cut action, ranging 82-84 mph. Showed a hard and a slow breaking ball. One has slurvy action (72-73 mph) while slow curve had some downward spin at 66-67 mph. Moves well around first base. Shows top velocity of 76 mph across the infield. At the plate, shows some power potential. Needs to better incorporate his lower half.
