Alec Steffen, OF, Oak Hills HS, Class of 2013

5-foot-10, 170-pound quick twitch player. Ran excellent 6.63 60 yard time. Ranges well in outfield. Cann play center with playable arm strength (76 mph) that can improve with proper crow hop technique. Upright hitting stance. Good hand trigger load with bat speed into zone. Squares barrel on ball. Good techniques and shows some approach.

Andrew Cobb, RHP, Moeller HS, Class of 2013

6-foot-4, 210-pound big body prospect. Uses long front side kick with some stiffness in backside arm extension. Has moderate arm speed through upper 3/4 slot. Fastball has arm strength, ranging 83-85 mph with a downward tilt spin curveball at 76 mph. 

Andrew McDonald, RHP, Mason HS, Class of 2013

6-foot-6, 230-pound right-handed pitcher. Committed to Virginia Tech after his performance at the Top Prospect Games. Big imposing mound presence. Has high front side knee kick. Gets good arm extension on both front and backside with differing 3/4 to low 3/4 arm slot. Gets good lower base with hip pop in follow through. Fastball explodes in zone, ranging 86-89 mph with late life and occasional cut action. Has excellent arm action on 79-80 mph changeup with some run action. Has slider that shows late bite on good ones (77-80 mph). One of top power arms in Ohio for the Class of 2013.

Andrew Zellner, RHP/OF, Valley View HS, Class of 2013

6-foot-3, 170-pound prospect with good physical projection in lanky, athletic body. Gets arm extensions both front and backside with quick arm speed through 3/4 arm slot. Aggressive with stuff. Needs to enhance his lower half hip pop finish in follow through to maximize velocity. Has exploding fastball in zone with some cut action, ranging 86-89 mph. Has feel for downward spin curveball with some depth, ranging 72-75 mph. Good arm action on change (72 mph). Shows good corner outfield skills as he tracks the ball and reaches top velocity of 83 mph on his throws. Runs 7.12 60-yard dash. Left-handed hitter that uses upright stance with bend in back knee. Triggers bat from shoulder is quick into zone with controlled upper cut finish. Projectable power. Excellent two shot player.

Austin Lenhardt, MIF, Batavia HS, Class of 2013

5-foot-9, 165-pound middle infield prospect. Shows good baseball sense. Has good range, feet and hands with solid arm from all angles. Runs 6.81 60-yard dash. Line drive type hitter. Gets good hand load trigger and lower half hip pop torque in finish. 

Brad Ward, RHP, Miami Trace HS, Class of 2013

6-foot-3, 200-pound big bodied hurler. Uses moderate arm speed through upper 3/4 arm slot. Gets inward turn with front-side kick. Gets arm extension on both front and backside. Fastball shows some occasional run, ranging 83-85 mph. Has spin on downward tilt curve ball (74-77 mph) and heavy downward sink action on change up (78-81 mph).

Brian Marsh, IF, Piqua HS, Class of 2013

5-foot-10, 175-pound middle infield prospect with sound defensive skills and actions. Has soft hands and fluid footwork. Projects on next level as 2B with 69 mph arm strength across the diamond. At the plate, he uses a wide base stance. He stays squared on front side. Has chest level trigger that restricts arm extension. Also, needs to loosen top hand on bat (wraps).

Brian Mroz, RHP/OF, Centerville HS, Class of 2013

5-foot-11, 160-pound right-handed pitcher that shows good pitchability and mound presence. Aggressive and consistently in the zone. Shows good balance in delivery. Has moderate arm speed through upper 3/4 slot. Shows good lower half and follow through. Fastball ranges 85-87 mph with some arm side run and movement late in zone. Throws good downward tilt curveball with some depth at 75-76 mph.

Cam Harris, 1B, Sycamore HS, Class of 2013

6-foot-1, 240-pound prospect. His bat is the key for him on next level. Sets up with a wide base. Gets good hand load trigger from shoulder. Has bat speed into zone, squaring barrel on ball with power potential. Runs 7.91 60-yard dash with a top velocity of 71 mph across the diamond.

Carter Langdon, 3B/RHP, Tippecanoe HS, Class of 2013

6-foot-4, 180-pound prospect with lanky, projectable frame. Rhythm type pitcher. Has good balance in delivery with high front side kick and upper 3/4 arm slot. Gets arm extensions. Fastball is fairly straight at 80-82 mph. Uses slurvy type breaking ball at 71-73 mph. Offensively, he is an aggressive hitter. Shows good hands and feet defensively with 78 mph arm strength across the diamond. Runs 7.2 60-yard dash. Hits from upright stance. Triggers hands from shoulder and gets bat head into zone. Needs to promote more lower half in swing for enhanced power.

Chad Goubeaux, C, Middletown Fenwick HS, Class of 2013

5-foot-10, 185-pound prospect with solid frame. Shows good catching skills with lateral movement; boxes and frames well with 75 mph arm strength from the crouch. Registered 2.05-2.08 pop times. Offensively, he has high hand set in trigger, creating some upper cut in swing. Moderate bat speed. Has good lower half torque in finish.

Chris Martin, RHP/IF, Mason HS, Class of 2013

6-foot, 170-pound prospect with athletic build. Projects as a pitcher at the next level. Displays projectable arm. Has quick arm speed through 3/4 arm slot with good balance in delivery. Finishes well. Aggressive with fastball, which ranges 83-85 mph with some late run action. Shows some feel for curve with good ones showing some downward spin at 71-73 mph. Needs to master consistent command of off-speed pitches. Runs 7.26 60 yard sprint. Has good hands but needs work on footwork. Left-handed hitter that sets up in upright stance and shows bat speed into zone with good techniques.

Cole Proia, IF, Moeller HS, Class of 2013

5-foot-11, 175-pound infielders. One of those get dirty players who shows some sense for the game. Runs 7.03 60 yard-dash. Good middle infield skills. Shows range, hands and feet with solid arm strength (86 mph) across the diamond. Attacks ball as a hitter with shoulder hand load trigger and bat speed into zone.

Connor Combs, IF, Waynesville HS, Class of 2013

6-foot-3, 185-pound corner infield prospect with strong, projectable body. Projects defensively on next level as a corner 3B/1B player. Has good hands and playable arm strength (78 mph). Solid, middle of the order left-handed bat. Hits from open stance and squares front side with hand load trigger from his shoulder. Has moderate bat speed into zone with good lower half. Displays power potential.

Connor McVey, IF, Mason HS, Class of 2013

6-foot, 170-pound athletic player with good raw skills. Runs 7.01 60-yard dash. Good middle infield skills. Projects in future to be 2B/3B type. Defensively, accepts ball well and shows fluid footwork. With the bat, he hits from upright stance, squares front side with good hand load shoulder trigger. He uses the whole field.

David Hare, OF/1B, Kings HS, Class of 2013

6-foot-2, 175-pound lanky bodied player with some physical projection. His bat is his key to next level. Switch hitter that swings best from the left side. Upright stance with good, hand load trigger from shoulder. Squares barrel well on ball with lower half finish. Defensively, has adequate range with 80 mph velocity from the outfield. Registered 7.16 60-yard dash.

Derek Baker, 1B/LHP, Lakota East HS, Class of 2013

6-foot-1, 180-pound two-way prospect. Moves well around the bag with good footwork, hands and arm strength (79 mph). Left-handed hitter that hits from upright stance. Squares front side with moderate bat speed into zone. Makes good contact. Runs 7.47 60 yard. Lefty with moderate arm speed through 3/4 arm slot. Has long front side in delivery which lessens lower body hip pop and drive in follow through. Fastball ranges 78-80 mph with some sinking action. Uses a loopy type spin curve ball with gradual break (62-64 mph). Change up is straight (70-71 mph).

Derek Hendrixson, IF/RHP, Centerville HS, Class of 2013

5-foot-9, 152-pound prospect with small, athletic frame. Shows good middle infield skills with soft hands and fluid footwork. Solid arm strength (79 mph) from all angles. Squares front side as a hitter with good shoulder level bat trigger. Has moderate bat speed into zone and makes good contact. On the mound, he has live arm and quick, compact delivery. Uses quick arm speed through 3/4 arm slot. Gets arm extension and has hip pop in backside follow through. Is aggressive with fastball, which ranges 83-85 mph with occasional cut action. Has slurvy type breaking ball with two plane bite, ranging 75-77 mph along with good arm action on changeup (80 mph).

John Cornett, 1B/RHP, Edgewood HS, Class of 2013

6-foot-1, 195-pound strong-bodied player. Runs a 7.14 60-yard dash. Good defensive skills around bag with footwork and hands. At the plate, the right-handed hitter uses a high leg, front side trigger. Uses shoulder level bat load trigger. On the mound, he shows a drop and drive delivery with moderate arm speed through 3/4 arm slot. Needs to maintain good balance to maintain control of strike zone. Gets good backside finish in follow through. Fastball fairly straight at 79-81 mph. Off-speed arsenal includes a looping curveball (62-63 mph) and straight change (70 mph).

John Heckman, IF, Hamilton HS, Class of 2014

5-foot-11, 155-pound prospect with small, athletic frame. Good baseball sense. Infield skills project future as second baseman or third baseman. Good hands and feet with some range. Runs 7.0 second 60-yard dash with 75 mph velocity across the infield. With the bat, he has squared front side with shoulder level hand load trigger. Shows a controlled upper cut. Needs to improve lower-half torque.

Johnny Crawford, LHP/OF, Wapakoneta HS, Class of 2013

6-foot-2, 180-pound two-way prospect. On the mound, he shows a projectable body. Uses effortless arm action with good balance in delivery. Clean arm extension with good lower half follow through. Fastball easily projects to gain further velocity in future. Currently ranges 83-86 mph with late movement in zone. Shows good control of off-speed pitches. Curveball velocity is 74-76 mph with two plane downward tilt with depth. Excellent arm speed on change (73-75 mph) with arm side run and sink action.

Jordan Huggins, OF, Springfield Shawnee HS, Class of 2013

5-foot-11, 160-pound athletic outfielder. Registered a 6.93 60 yard time. Displays excellent arm strength from the outfield (88 mph). Has good lower half torque and finish in swing, but loads hand trigger from chest that creates a flat bat path into zone.

Judah Wollenburg, IF/C, Ottawa Hills, Class of 2013

6-foot, 180-pound prospect. Has good physical projection in body. Runs 6.85 60-yard time with 73 mph arm strength across the diamond. Projects defensively as an offensive 2B/3B type. Good hands and feet. Accepts ball nicely. Squares front side as hitter. Shows good shoulder level hand trigger and gets bat head into zone. Should continue to add power.

Justin Wampler, OF/2B, Moeller HS, Class of 2013

5-foot-9, 155-pound versatile prospect. Quick twitch player who runs a 6.89 60 yard dash. Good defensive skills. Shows range and controls space. Reached 86 mph from the outfield and 72 mph across the infield. Hits with squared front side stance,. Shows good bat speed into zone from shoulder trigger getting good lower half torque.

Kendall Colvin, RHP, Kenton Ridge HS, Class of 2013

6-foot-3, 230-pound big body hurler who has good delivery on front and backsides. Gets arm extension through 3/4 arm slot. Shows some pitchability. Fastball fairly straight but spots well, ranging 81-84 mph. Has some feel for downward tilt curve (68-69 mph).

Lee Sponseller, OF, Mason HS, Class of 2013

5-foot-10, 170-pound prospect. Corner outfield type who runs 7.15 60-yard dash with 80 mph arm strength from the outfield. Hits from open stance. Has good hand load and squares barrel on ball to all fields. Needs to enhance more lower half hip pop in finish.

Nick Lubanski, C, Turpin HS, Class of 2014

5-foot-9, 160-pound catcher with small compact build. Boxes and frames well. Needs to enhance lateral blocking ability. Shows arm strength (77 mph) from the crouch with quick pop times of 1.93-2.01. Offensively, squares front side well with good hand load trigger from the shoulder. Has bat speed into zone. Good lower half finish.

R.J. Thompson, IF, Mason HS, Class of 2013

5-foot-10, 170-pound infielder. Displays sound middle infield skills. Better suited as offensive second baseman. Shows some softness in his hands and quick feet with some range. Runs a 7.15 60-yard dash with 71 mph arm strength from all angles. At the plate, he uses an open stance. Shows good hand trigger and makes contact to all fields.

TJ Zeuch, RHP, Mason HS, Class of 2013

6-foot-7, 210-pound prospect with tall imposing body. Has good body balance in delivery despite being naturaly long. Shows some pitchability. Has moderate arm speed through upper 3/4 slot. Has some back arch before releasing the ball but doesn't seem to effect control. Fastball fairly straight but spots well, ranging 86-88 mph (has topped 90 mph during season). Has downward tilt with some depth on curve (71-75 mph) with good arm speed on change (71-74 mph).

Tony Quatman, C, Carroll HS, Class of 2014

6-foot, 185-pound catcher. Good physical projection on his athletic body. Ran impressive 6.91 60-yard dash. Shows catching skills. Keeps frame low and receives well. Showed 74 mph velocity from the crouch with 2.04-2.1 release. Will improve pop times with work on glove to hand exchange. Squared hitting stance. Makes solid contact with some power potential. Needs to keep backside load back a tad longer. Good lower half torque.

Travis Lakins, RHP, Franklin HS, Class of 2013

6-foot-1, 155-pound right-handed pitcher with think, lanky frame. Aggressive and attacks hitters. Good balanced delivery with good arm action and extensions on both front and backside. Gets hip pop in lower half finish. Quick arm through 3/4 arm slot. Fastball sits 86-88 mph with some late cutting action. Uses a slurvy type breaking ball which he controls well on corners (71-73 mph). Has solid arm action on change up that shows some arm side run (76-78 mph).
