Unsigned Senior Spotlight: 3B Connor Combs (Waynesville HS)

The 6-foot-3, 178-pound athlete has a projectable frame with room to fill out. While he worked out at shortstop during the event, he likely projects as a corner infielder at the next level. He displayed a velocity of 79 mph across the infield. At the plate, the left-handed hitting prospect uses a balanced setup and displays an advanced approach. His quick bat speed and slight uphill bat path generates gap-to-gap power that will only improve as he matures and grows stronger. He ran a 7.36 60-yard dash. 

During Comb's junior year, he earned 1st Team All SWBL while hitting .354, scoring 28 runs and driving in another 19 runs on the season.  Combs is a three year letterman who has started at third base since his freshman year.
