Flaherty is an athletic prospect best suited for second base or third base at the next level. At the plate, the right-handed hitter uses a wide base and tall, upright stance with rotational mechanics. He shows a short, slight uphill bat path along with quick bat speed. He is a line drive, contact hitter that shows the ability to hit to all fields. Defensively, he shows good glovework, but needs to continue to improve his footwork, including playing through the baseball. He registered a 7.18 60-yard dash.
