Brian Malerick, RHP, Hudson HS
6-foot-4, 175-pound right-handed pitcher with good physical projection in lanky body. Competes well. Repeats delivery with moderate arm speed through upper 3/4 slot. Gets arm extension with finish. Fastball shows some life ranging 83-85 mph and topping at 87 mph with some arm side run. Has short break in 70-72 mph curveball but will drop arm slot at times with it. Achieved a great deal of success 

Malerick posted a 10-0 record for Hudson in 2012 in setting a new school record for wins.  He ended the season with a 1.52 ERA, with an opponent batting average of only .232.  Malerick struck out 47 batters in 55 1/3 innings.  

Several highlights of his season include; defeating Twinsburg in the District semi-finals; defeating Medina  7-1 in the sectional finals; beating Mayfield 1-0 by pitching 8 innings of shutout baseball.
