Cooper is heating up the recruiting process.

Taylor Cooper a senior left-handed senior is making recent waves among the recruiting process.   On February 5th, Cooper attended the Unsigned Senior Showcase in Columbus, Ohio and made an instant name for him self.

On that day, the southpaw came away as the 6th rated pitcher in attendance.    At the event, Taylor’s fastball was clocked at 82-84 mph, with a curveball at 64-65 mph.

Less than three weeks later, Taylor chose to attend PBR’s Unsigned Senior Showcase at Indiana Wesleyan.  As the 2nd rated player at the event, Defiance High School product had a fastball measured at 84-87 mph and a 71-75 mph changeup.

At only, 5’9 and 154 pounds, Taylor may be small in stature.  But as you can see from the numbers above he can bring from the mound.

Since attending these two events Cooper states, “I have gotten many emails and phone calls and lots of colleges have shown interest.”

When looking for a college, Taylor is looking for the following qualities, “A good coaching staff and a place that will give him the ability to show my talent.”

Taylor is currently talking to the following schools: Cornerstone University, University of Northwestern Ohio and Lincoln College.

During the summer the lefty plays for Defiance ACME team.
