Canadian Collegiate - Players of the Week

Every week, we'll highlight one hitter and one pitcher to be our PBR Canada Collegiate Players of the Week which is powered by Mizuno. This is the fourth week and really full of outstanding performances as the D1 season kicked off and Canadians were all over the box scores. 

The decisions are going to get tougher and tougher every week, but there is no denying these two players in week 4 of our Canadian Collegiate Performer of the Week. 

THE OFFENSIVE SIDE

Background: Keller joins the Georgia Gwinnett program as a COVID senior following two seasons with Rogers State. Keller quickly gained the respect of his teammates this season as he’s batting .452 with four home runs over ten games, eight of which the Grizzlies have won. The Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan, native spent his first two collegiate seasons at Northern Oklahoma College - Enid.

Performance: Keller entered the week with three multi-hit games through his first six games and he just kept on smashing the baseball. He picked up multiple hits in all four of Georgia Gwinnett’s games, including a home run in three of the four. The highlight of the week was Game Two of a doubleheader against Lourdes University on Sunday where Keller went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, six RBI, a home run, a double and a walk. 

Pitcher of the Week
Jordan Marks, USC Upstate

Background: Marks is a right-hander that came out of Ontario’s class of 2017 and the Great Lakes product was the 14th-ranked player and attended the ProCase. Marks, a COVID junior, really took a step forward with USC Upstate last season when he went 3-1 with an ERA of 1.75 before the season was cancelled.
