Last year saw six Ontario high school players taken in the draft, with the top selection being C Andy Yerzy, who went 52nd overall to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Ontario has produced high draft picks over the last few years with players like Yerzy to go along with 1B Josh Naylor, OF Demi Orimoloye, OF Miles Gordon, and OF Gareth Morgan.

The 2017 class seems to fall in the same lane with high profile prospects like RHP Landon Leach and SS Adam Hall looking to be high picks. A few others could be scooped up in later rounds or develop into top prospects out of college.
