Top Uncommitted 2016 Catchers

Ty Barclay, C, 2016
Scouting report: Barclay has been a PBR favourite with his ability to handle a pitching staff and control the game. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound catcher receives and blocks as well as anybody in the province. Agile and athletic in his lower half, displays soft hands receiving with sound technique. Arm has continued to improved, along with his footwork as he is an aggressive catcher, not afraid to back door guys at any bag. Line drive type hitter with gap power, he has shortened his swing since the beginning of 2015 and his bat plays. The separator for Barclay is his knowledge of the game and relentless hustle. Hard nose dirt-bag who plays the game the right way, whatever program ends up signing Barclay will not be disappointed.
