Ontario Insider: Uncommitted Senior Spotlight - Noah Skirrow, RHP

Name: Noah Skirrow
Position: RHP
Grad: 2016
Rank: 21st in Ontario’s Class of 2016
Height/Weight: 6-foot-3, 205-pounds
High School: Cardinal Newman Collegiate
Club Team: Ontario Blue Jays

Background: Strong pitcher’s frame at 6-foot-3, 205-pounds, sturdy build, big lower half and should gain more strength as he mature and adds gains. Skirrow was part of a talented 16u Ontario Blue Jays pitching staff last summer as he was a regular starter during the PBLO weekend schedule and went 5-0 in 7 appearances. Skirrow works in the mid-80s with his fastball and has been up to 87 mph this fall. Fastball is heavy and can get on hitters quicker than some of them think. He mixes in a curveball with 12/6 shape and changeup to finish off his repertoire. The curveball shows promise as there is some feel, as he is usually 67-71 mph while his changeup is 78-79 mph. Skirrow stays around the zone and attacks hitters with his three-pitch mix, displays some downhill plane on his pitches and we feel there is a lot more to come with strength gains and repetitions.
