By Chris Kemlo and Dylan Hefflinger

The summer season is winding down in Ontario, and the amount of talent we have seen in our first summer has been a remarkable and extremely fun to follow. The 2016 rankings have double its number since the last publication and will continue to change as we head closer to the start of the fall season.

We have released the updated 2016 rankings in advance of our Top Prospect Games which will be held on August 27th in Dorchester, Ontario.

We have expanded the 2016 class to the “Top 50” and will continue to grow our class as we continue into September.

Players who graduated in 2015 and have not gone onto post secondary education were not taken into consideration when compiling our rankings. Once college and university classes officially begin, we will then include those into our 2016 list.

Below, we will take a look at the “top of the class” the “newcomers” the “biggest risers” and the top uncommitted players at their respected position.

TOP OF THE CLASS

Although there were many adjustments when drawing up the new list, the top two players saw little movement. Left-handed hitting seems to be the theme in 2016, and catchers Andy Yerzy and Luke Van Rycheghem sit atop respectively at one and two.
