Scouting Notes: Minnesota Millers vs DBacks Langley Blaze

Matthew Nolin LHP / Cawthra Park Secondary School, ON / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 43 / POS: 7 Scouting Report: Uncommitted 2019 left-hander Matthew Nolin had a good first outing for his 2018 campaign, giving up two hits and two walks while notching two strikeouts over 1.1 innings of work. One of the better lefty arms in his class, Nolin worked on a solid downhill plane, sitting 82-84 mph with his fastball on the day. The breaking ball wasn’t there yet as he struggled to control it, though that’s expected considering this is his first time pitching live this year. With long limbs and a projectable body, Nolin will be an interesting follow this season.
