UNCOMMITTED UNDERCLASS SPOTLIGHT: JOEL MCKNIGHT, OF, 2019

Joel Mcknight OF / Brooklin, ON / 2019

Background: Mcknight is an athletic outfielder who plays all three outfield positions. His biggest tools are his speed as he ran a laser timed 60 at the PBR Future Games at 6.66 and at the plate, where his hands are quick which helps him generate bat speed through the zone. Shows wiry strength with room on his 5-foot-11, 155-pound frame to add more as he matures and develops physically. Mcknight has always played the game with athleticism, using his speed on both sides of the ball. While there is some swing and miss as he is still learning his approach and adjusting to better off-speed, the hand eye is there and he shows the ability to drive balls into the gaps.
