2023 ROSTER - TEAM 1

Jaxson Bowen RHP / OF / Sherwood, OR / 2024

Rankings  PBR Oregon: 50

From 5/8/23: The junior had two appearances this past week, one a start and one a relief stint. His first outing of the week was a save opportunity on Monday, when he recorded a three up-three down inning to secure the win. Bowen got to toe-the-rubber on Friday as the Bowmen went for the sweep, and he was phenomenal in his start. He tossed a complete game shutout, punching out five opposing hitters while failing to surrender a walk. He worked very efficiently, facing just three more than the minimum and completing the game in just 77 pitches. His final line from his start was 7 IP, 5 Ks, 2 H, 0 BB, 0 R. Final line on the week is 8 IP, 5 Ks, 2 H, 0 BB, 0 R.

(6/21/23)

Elijah Breault 3B / 1B / Century , OR / 2024

Rankings  PBR Oregon: 35

From 6/23/23: "[Breault] was 2nd in peak EV with a top blast of 102.7 mph and he ultimately led the event in average EV with an impressive 93.9 mark. Breault carries strength throughout his frame and translates that power into his swing with a tight, compact swing and consistent barrel accuracy. Made proper swing decisions in game & went 1-2 with a line drive 2B."

(8/4/23)

TEAM 2

Joel Hong 3B / 2B / Westview , OR / 2024

Rankings  PBR Oregon: 61

From 8/29/23: "Hong hosts an athletic 5-foot-11, 185-pound frame with present strength throughout his frame. From the right-side of the box, he swings a heavy barrel that routinely posted low-to-mid 90 exit velocities. His quick hands help generate bat speed with ease, allowing him to drive the ball with authority to all parts of the field. At our Top Prospect Games in July, Hong ranked among the top in maximum and average hand speed as well as maximum and average bat speed. He jumps over 30 spots following a strong summer."

(6/21/23)

Ty Sheldon C / 3B / Liberty, OR / 2024

Rankings  PBR Oregon: 68

From 5/8/23: "The junior backstop has impressed our staff in the past with his offensive abilities, and continued to show just that this week. He hit .500 over the course of a three game set, including a double and a home run. His week was highlighted by a three hit, five RBI performance in the series opener on Monday, including the aforementioned long ball. Throughout the week he was constantly getting on base, reaching in eight of his twelve plate appearances."

(6/21/23)

TEAM 3

Quintin Esmay RHP / SS / Canby , OR / 2024

Rankings  PBR Oregon: 95

From 6/23/23: "[Esmay] peaked at 97.2 with his EV on the day and it translated well to game play where he consistently found the barrel and produced hard, line drive contact. Gets impressive rotation power through his core and uses a mostly level bat path through the zone that allows him to spray the ball to all fields with authority."

(6/21/23)

Kyle Slater C / 3B / Yamhill Carlton, OR / 2024

Rankings  PBR Oregon: 73

From 8/29/23: "Built with a strong lower half at 5-foot-10, 170-pounds, Slater was an absolute force in the spring for Tigers' offense. He continued to carry that momentum into the summer, including a quality showing at Top Prospect Games. At the loaded event, Slater ranked among the top of the leaderboard in maximum hand speed (24.8 mph) and maximum bat speed (75.0 mph). He jumps over 20 spots in our most recent rankings update, not slotting in the top-75."

(6/21/23)

TEAM 4

Brooks Avery SS / 2B / Roseburg, OR / 2024

Rankings  PBR Oregon: 40

Standing at a lean and wiry 5-foot-9, 145-pounds, Avery is one of the top athletes that is still on the market in the region. Earlier this summer at our Top Prospect Games., he showcased fluid athleticism throughout multiple facets of the game. First, he finished in the top-3 in all Swift categories (60-yard dash, 10-yard split, 30-yard split, and peak run speed). He then displayed quick hands with hitterish actions and whip to the barrel during his round of BP. He finished off his day with a strong defensive showing, too.

(6/21/23)

Sam Trojan C / 3B / Lake Oswego, OR / 2024

Rankings  PBR Oregon: 29

Trojan is a strong and athletic 6-foot-2, 195-pounds with room to continue adding muscle. He impressed this past winter at our PNW Preseason All-State event, both on defense and with the bat. He finished within the top-5 in all defensive categories amongst backstops, and during BP he found the sweet spot at a 67% clip. Trojan is currently one of the top uncommitted catchers in the state's senior class, and we are excited to get an updated look at him.
