Top-10 Profiles of 2021: No. 6, Jackson Jaha
December 28, 2021
As we approach the end of 2021, we're taking account of the PBR Oregon player profile pages to determine the players in our backyard whose profiles earned the most attention throughout the year. We're counting down the top-10 profiles in the state that received the most views, from 10 and on, concluding our countdown on New Year's Day by revealing the most-viewed profile of the year.
CIF Jackson Jaha (Clackamas) comes in at the sixth spot on our profile countdown. The physically built 6-foot-1, 210-pound Jaha is the fifth ranked prospect in Oregon’s current senior class and he’s slotted inside the top-500 on our national board, too. Jaha really showed off how much impact strength is nestled inside his right-handed barrel at the Oregon ProCase in May, brutalizing baseballs throughout his round of BP. He finished with an event-best max exit velocity of 103.7 mph with a wood bat and his 94.8 mph average exit velocity was amongst the day’s best, too. Jaha’s Blast Motion metrics jump off the page as well, as his hand speed (24.2 mph) and bat speed (76.6 mph) averages border elite for his age. Jaha has some two-way prowess as well, bumping his fastball up to 91 mph with some feel for a slider.
Jaha played with the Royals’ squad at the Area Code Games this year and his play garnered the attention of both Nathan Rode and Shooter Hunt. In their Area Code Games: Position Player Standouts piece, the duo had this to say about Jaha:
“While the Pacific Northwest’s strength was clearly seen on the mound throughout the week, there were some intriguing position players to take note of. CIF Jackson Jaha (Clackamas HS, OR), an Oregon recruit, is the son of former big leaguer, John Jaha, and holds similar strength/power profile that his dad possessed. Equipped with thicker strength and a barrel chest on a 6-foot-1, 205-pound frame, Jaha produced some hard contact including a big home run to the pull side.”
‘22 CIF Jackson Jaha (OR) took great hacks all game including battling deep into the count here for a 2-strike HOME RUN late.
