Top-10 Profiles of 2021: No. 8, Brock Leitgeb
December 27, 2021
As we approach the end of 2021, we're taking account of the PBR Oregon player profile pages to determine the players in our backyard whose profiles earned the most attention throughout the year. We're counting down the top-10 profiles in the state that received the most views, from 10 and on, concluding our countdown on New Year's Day by revealing the most-viewed profile of the year.
We’ll continue our end of the year countdown today with C Brock Leitgeb (Jesuit), who’s profile brought in the eighth most views of this year. Leitgeb represented the Pacific Northwest at this year’s PBR Future Games and the 6-foot, 185-pound right-handed hitting backstop is one of the top uncommitted 2023 graduates in the state of Oregon, currently slotted at No. 13 overall. Our National Crosschecker, Shooter Hunt, had this to say about him in March:
“Leitgeb took the biggest step forward of any player at the Northwest Preseason Invite, and clearly looks ready to have a strong sophomore campaign at Jesuit. Physical with defined, thicker strength across an athletic 6-foot 180-pound frame, Leitgeb gets to that strength at the plate with a short stroke that is strong through the zone with simplicity and quick hands. He produced a max exit velocity of 96.08 mph per Trackman, and each swing seemed to produce audible contact throughout the large facility. A 7.04-runner, that athleticism carries over behind the plate where he possesses looser hips and solid hands with a 77 mph arm from the crouch with pop-times as low as 1.97. The jump that Leitgeb made from June is exciting, and college coaches are going to want to circle his name as one to follow later in the spring and into the summer.”
