The Ed Santa Showcase brought together 165 prospects from Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio to showcase their talents on October 20 at Mylan Park in Morgantown, WV. Eddie Santa is one of the most respected baseball people in the Midwest. He is a native of Pittsburgh, PA and played for the University of Richmond. After college, Eddie played professionally with the New York Mets. He went on to coach college baseball at Kent State, Ohio State and Pitt. In 1992, Eddie became an Area Scout with the Colorado Rockies. He is currently an area scout with the Rockies covering Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia, western New York and Canada.
