Scouting Report

8/09/22

Physical: Long, athletic 6-foot-2, 176lb frame. 6.80 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Slightly open, crouched stance, as the barrel starts off the shoulder. Utilized a short lift-and-replace stride to initiate the swing through a sweeping, flat path towards a high two-handed finish. Recorded a T95 mph exit velocity during a pull-side approach, matching plane for a 50% sweet-spot rate. Good direction in the box with ability to extend on the ball.

Defensively: The primary outfielder showed off middle of the field intangibles with a quick first step and lower posture at his position. Rounded the ball softly on the left side of the body, reaching back for an 81 mph arm-strength from H ¾ slot.

6/12/22

Physical: Twitchy, highly athletic 6-foot-2, 175lb frame. 6.66 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Even and bent, shoulder-width start with the hands in a lower position to hit. Utilized a raised load coupled with lift and replace stride to initiate a flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Accurate approach that sprayed line drives from gap to gap during his BP round; sat on the backside while creating space and recorded a T91 mph bat-exit velocity (87 mph AVG). Beginning to develop additional power as he matures.

Defensively: The outfielder offers center of the field qualities with a quick first-step and confident reads off the barrel. Able to drop step and go get it, as seen during gameplay, and ran it up to 82 mph positionally in this look (accurate, H ¾ slot).

2/12/22

Physical: Twitchy, strong 6-foot-2, 175lb frame with more to dream on. 6.59 runner in the 60-yard dash, one of the top run tools at the event.

Offensively: RHH - Upright, narrow stance as the barrel rested calmly on the shoulder up/down. Utilized a short lift and replace stride on time with a stretched move backwards to create some separation on the attack. Launched through a flat path with plenty of adjustability, recording a 91 mph bat-exit velocity during his round. Increased physical stature since our last look with a doubles approach to pull.

Defensively: The primary centerfielder displayed a fast first step in either direction with clean reads off the bat. Glides in space and arrived on time with good posture. Accurate 79 mph arm and showed a solid internal clock on the defensive side of the ball.

6/15/21

Physical: Lean, uber-athletic 6-foot-1, 160lb frame with top of the order qualities and projection left. 6.68 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Started from a crouched, balanced stance with the hands operating low at the shoulder with rhythm. Utilized a short toe tap stride getting to an athletic, adjustable position while launching through a flat path into the hitting zone. The barrel worked towards a high finish, creating lift on pitches out over the plate. Posted an 88 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman Baseball while finding most success driving the ball to the LCF gap for extra-bases (305 foot batted ball distance / 40% line drive rate). Current doubles power with some twitch in the hands and ability to continue seeing measurables increase with additional strength on the build.

Defensively: The primary outfielder is a centerfield candidate with bursty steps in either direction and ability to go get the baseball in the air. Had good/natural reads off the bat, working the chest downhill through the baseball at the fielding window. Accurate, soft glove hand funneling inward off the left foot and accurate high ¾ slot (76 mph arm).
