With the completion of the West Virginia Top Prospect Games last week the summer schedule of events in Pennsylvania and West Virginia have drawn to a close. In preparation for the start of the Fall College Prospect Program in September we now look back on some of the top performances of the summer.

Today we wrap up our review by taking a look at the performances of the summer by members of the Class of 2017 and 2018 at a PBR event.

#1  2017 OF/RHP Joe Lancellotti (Archbishop Wood, PA)

Lancellotti has a solid 5-foot-10, 190-pound frame and is athletic in everything he does on the field. At the plate the right-handed hitter showed fluid rhythm to his swing and a 95 mph bat exit velocity. Lancellotti was named the MVP of the White Team at the PA Top Prospect Games. He went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double, a sacrifice fly and two RBI. Lancellotti flashed his two-way abilities by moving to the mound for an inning on Day Two where he sat 86-88 out of a high 3/4 arm slot while topping at 89 mph. With a 7.01 60-yard dash and an 88 mph arm from the outfield, Lancellotti could play all three OF spots at the next level. Lancellotti went on to announce his commitment to North Carolina in July.

#2  2017 C/3B/RHP Shane Muntz (Malvern Prep, PA)

Muntz is a physical 6-foot-3, 240-pound C/3B with an enormous amount of potential. He displayed pop times of 2.03-2.08 on throws of 80 mph from the crouch at the PA Top Prospect Games. His size may eventually necessitate a move from behind the plate, but he is athletic enough to play a corner infield spot and displayed potential to be a highly recruited pitcher in the Class of 2017 as well. Muntz turned in an impressive 97 mph bat exit velocity and showed legitimate power potential during his round of batting practice with a compact swing for a prospect his size. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-6 with a double in game action while barreling several other balls for outs. On the mound Muntz sat 86-88 from a high 3/4 arm slot while also flashing a 76 mph curveball with 11/5 action.

#3  2017 SS/RHP Matt Gorman (William Penn Charter, PA)

The lone member of the Class of 2017 to participate on the Team Pennsylvania roster at the PBR Future Games, Gorman showcased the two way abilities that earned him a roster spot. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound sophomore showcased a 79 mph infield arm and an 86 mph bat exit velocity. Gorman was especially impressive on the mound topping at 85 mph and commanding a tight breaking 73 mph curveball. The righty worked two innings yielding one hit while striking out two.

#4  2017 SS/2B Liam Bendo (garnet valley, PA)

Bendo shined in game play at the PBR Mid-Atlantic Border Battle showing the skill set that has him ranked No. 5 in the initial PA Class of 2017 rankings. The left-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and uses a toe tap load with a strong lower half to create barrel whip. Bendo went 4-for-11 in game play while hitting a number of other balls on the nose. The sophomore ran a 7.22 60-yard dash flashed an above average 82 mph arm across the infield. Bendo showed good feet defensively while consistently playing through the baseball.

#5  2017 LHP/OF Curtis Robison (Northern York, PA)

Robison is a 6-foot, 175-pound lefty that sat 81-84 from a high 3/4 arm slot at the PA Underclass Games. The sophomore displayed late life on his 4-seam fastball with arm side run to his 2-seamer. Robison's 1/7 breaking curveball is an advanced pitch for a player his age. It showed tight, 2-plane action with sharp, late break. Robison commanded a 71 mph changeup with late fade and displayed the ability to add and subtract from each of his pitches to keep hitters off balance. He went three innings facing only nine hitters with no hits allowed and five strikeouts.

#6  2017 LHP Brandon Knarr (York Catholic, PA)

Knarr impressed with a fastball that sat 82-84 with late life at the PA Underclass Games. The sturdy 5-foot-11, 195-pound lefty delivered his three pitch mix with a side rocker step and a fluid delivery from a high 3/4 arm slot. Knarr's 1/7 breaking curveball showed two-plane action at 66 mph and his 74 mph changeup was thrown for strikes at near fastball arm speed. Knarr worked three innings allowing three hits while striking out five.

#7  2017 RHP/OF Jordan Fiedor (Hempfield Area, PA)

Fiedor was one of the top prospects in attendance at the Western PA Open ID Showcase. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound sophomore has an athletic frame and displayed well above average throws from his outfield position at 86 mph. Fiedor ran a 7.01 60-yard dash and displayed the ability to drive the baseball to all fields from a slightly open stance during batting practice. The right-handed hitter utilizes a high hands load and creates strong barrel whip with a bat exit velocity of 93 mph. Fiedor completed his impressive day by sitting 83-85 out of a high 3/4 arm slot during his bullpen session. The righty also flashed a 73 mph split-change and a 72 mph slider in his arsenal. The two-way prospect will be a high follow moving forward in the Class of 2017.

#8  2018 Jack Herman (Eastern Regional, NJ)

Herman impressed in all facets of the game at the Eastern PA Open ID Showcase, showing legitimate two-way abilities at a young age. The 5-foot-10, 155-pound prospect has an athletic frame and should continue to develop size and strength in the coming years. Herman displayed athletic actions defensively (6.89 60-yard dash) with good carry to throws of 86 mph from his outfield position. The right-handed hitter showcased an 86 mph bat exit velocity from a fluid right handed swing that produced consistent line drives during his round of batting practice. Herman showed developing power potential and loose hands that led to the ball jumping off his bat. The righty finished his day by sitting 80-82 from the mound while maintaining velocity out of the stretch. Herman also commanded an 11/5 breaking curveball at 66 mph and a 67 mph knuckle ball out of a high 3/4 arm slot.

#9  2017 3B Davis Schneider (Eastern Regional, NJ)

Schneider showcased the ability to play through the baseball and to make throws from multiple arm angles with a 75 mph arm across the diamond. The 5-foot-8, 175-pound sophomore was even more impressive at the plate barreling the baseball consistently out of a square stance with a leg lift stride. Schneider registered an 87 mph bat exit velocity and displayed the ability to drive both gaps with a strong lower half and good balance throughout his swing. The sophomore was one of the top prospects in attendance at the Eastern PA Open ID Showcase.

#10  2017 SS/3B Christian Fedko (vincentian, PA)

Fedko plays the game the right way, with energy. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound infielder showed developing arm strength (81 mph) and the ability to make plays on the move at the PA Top Prospect Games. There is some stiffness to his glove hand but the sophomore takes good routes to the baseball. Fedko hits from a slightly open stance with a leg lift stride. The right-handed hitter took a solid round of batting practice barreling the baseball routinely with a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. Fedko had two infield hits in game play and ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Following a big freshman season of high school baseball and a solid showing at this event Fedko appeared at No. 10 in the initial PA Class of 2017 rankings.
