Preseason All-State Showcase: Previewing the Outfielders

One winter storm system after another has blown through Pennsylvania this winter but there is good news around the corner. The Preseason All-State Showcase is set for February 15 and 16 at the B2B Baseball Academy in Manheim, PA. The event serves as the end of the indoor events schedule and an opportunity for the top prospects in the state to showcase their skills one last time prior to the start of high school baseball practices in early March. As we draw closer to the event we will preview some of the top prospects on the roster by position. 

Outfielders

This year's Preseason All-State Showcase has been expanded to a two-day event to better serve the number of talented prospects looking to participate. Day one will showcase position players with 32 outfielders set to display their abilities.

The Class of 2015 has already seen 23 of the top 27 ranked prospects make Division I commitments. Frankie Jezioro (No. 30, Peters Township), Noah Malone (No. 36, Cedar Cliff) and Ryan Malloy (No. 49, Holy Ghost Prep) will highlight the group of 2015 outfielders in attendance. Jezioro is a switch-hitter that runs a 6.63 60-yard dash. Malone and Malloy were both members of the Team Pennsylvania roster at the 2013 Midwest Future Games.

The Class of 2016 will also be well represented. Mason Nadeau (North Penn) is ranked No. 10 in the class and was the starting left fielder for the Class 4A Knights in their run to a PIAA title in 2013. Braxton Giavedoni (Punxsutawney) is one spot back at No. 11 in the class. He is a 6.85 runner and hit .348 as a freshman.

Day One Roster / Day One Itinerary / Day Two Information

+ The Day Two roster and Itinerary will be finalized tomorrow. Day Two will showcase pitchers and catchers. Registrations will close at noon Wednesday with a few roster spots remaining at this point.
