6/14/22

 

Physical: Proportional 5-foot-11, 175lb frame with RTF. 7.83 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Upright, square stance, as the hands operated at the shoulder to begin. Utilized a leg-lift stride to create some separation through a flat, direct path into the hitting zone. Turned over the rear hip with hip-coil, producing a T87 mph exit velocity during his round and pull-side success up to 333 feet. Matched plane well to the lower tier while delivering a 60% sweet spot rate.

Defensively: The backstop featured a soft glove hand with adequate hip-mobility in the crouch. Pop times ranged between 1.99-2.09, showing off an up-tempo transfer across his body and whippy H ¾ slot (74 mph arm).

 

6/22/21

 

Physical: 5-foot-8, 155 pounds; Average, proportional build. 8.48 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; flat bat to start. Drops hands on the way back with a moderate leg kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a direct swing path with a one-handed finish.  More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 81 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup;  while plays low to the ground. Hands are soft while standing up during transfer. Moderate arm circle  from a high 3/4 arm slot. 2.17-2.22 pop times. C - 66 MPH.

 

7/30/20

 

Physical: Strong / solid 5-foot-4, 130-pound frame with feel for his body. 8.86 runner in the 60-yard dash. 

Offensively: RHH. Narrow, slightly open stance with balance in the stance, the hands started with quick rhythm above the shoulder. Utilized a leg-hang stride while holding the backside for stretch throughout the forward move. The hands followed an adjustable lower half with ability to match plane early through a flat path into the hitting zone, worked towards a high finish with good sink and connection to the ground throughout the swing. Peppered the middle of the field with hard contact during batting practice, demonstrated solid bat to ball skills and found the barrel with consistency. Recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 78 mph per Trackman Baseball. 

Defensively: The primary backstop featured quality receiving skills from a low setup with a soft glove hand at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.45-2.51 using short directional footwork towards the target with average transfers to the ear. The arm worked through a short, accurate high ¾ slot with a small arm circle. Beat the ball to either side of the plate while blocking, buried the glove hand first. C - 60 mph


 

6/29/20

 

Physical: 5-foot-4, 125 pounds; strong, sturdy build. Offensively: RHH. Open narrow stance with bat waggle; short take back of hands with knee to knee leg kick stride. aggressive lower half with moderate length. Hard backspun flyballs to pull side, developing power; peak Trackman exit velocity of 81 MPH. Defensively: Low to the ground; good reactions behind the plate; covers ground laterally in infield. soft hands with clean transfer; moderate arm swing, standard 3/4 slot. 2.44-2.54 pop times. C - 60 MPH. INF - 61 MPH.

 

3/08/20

 

5-foot-4, 125-pound right-handed hitter starts from a narrow, slightly open stance and uses a leg-lift stride to begin. Displayed solidy rhythm and the ability to create back spin. Registered a bat exit velocity of 74 mph and ran an 8.90 60-yard dash. Showed advanced receiving skills behind the plate with pop times of 2.37-2.45 on throws of 63 mph from the crouch. Also showcased capable actions at third base with active feet and 64 mph arm strength across the diamond.

 

3/24/19

 

5-foot-1, 115-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Displayed a flat barrel path through the zone with a middle of the field approach and a feel for the barrel. Registered a bat exit velocity of 78 mph and ran a 9.13 60-yard dash. Showcased advanced defensive abilities behind the plate for a player his age with pop times of 2.08-2.14 on throws of 61 mph from the crouch.
