'24 OF/RHP Samson Repshis (West Scranton) didn't lead every stat category, but he was near the top of the leaderboard in all of them. Repshis checks in at 6-foot, 180lbs with some twitchy tendencies in his game. Repshis led off his scout day by posting a 6.75 laser timed 60 yard dash, the leader of his group. Repshis then went on to throw 81 MPH from the outfield with choppy feet on his way to the ball, all leading to him fielding off his glove side foot and throwing from a downhill angle. The arm works from the outfield easily and he gets on line with the target to throw with good backspin, allowing his ball to fly straight. Repshis is able to swing it with repeatable mechanics. The bat angle gets uphill quickly and he finishes high around his back. With a peak exit velo of 92 MPH at this scout day, Repshis has inklings of pop, especially with more strength added to the frame as he continues to mature. At the moment, Repshis profiles nicely as an able bodied outfielder, boasting well above average foot speed and a working arm that provides good carry on the ball.
