Unsigned Senior Spotlight: 1B Troy Glendenning
September 4, 2012
Troy Glendenning is a 6-foot-4, 255-pound prospect from Kiski Area High School. The first baseman is very agile and displayed good glove work around the bag. He has a solid arm across the infield at 75mph and runs well for a big guy (7.58 60-yard dash). Glendenning will really catch your eye at the plate. Offensively he showcased a 90mph bat exit speed velo, tops at the Western PA Top Prospect Showcase in August. His round of batting practice was impressive as he drove pitch after pitch to the wall, using all fields.
Below Glendenning discusses his college plans with Prep Baseball Report:
PBR: Where are you in the process of deciding on a college?
Glendenning: I would like to play college baseball, but I haven't decided on a college yet.
PBR: What schools are you currently considering?

PBR: Where have college coaches been able to see you?

Glendenning: I plan to play 1st base at the college level.

Glendenning: In the summer I played for the Kiski Valley Palomino. Our overall record was 17-3. My most memorable experience from the past summer was when we won the Palomino Championship 1-0 . I drove in the one run in the 4th inning and we advanced to the Zones tournament.
