Sunday February 10th saw 25 of the top players in the 2019 and 2020 classes in North Carolina converge on Kernersville, NC and the Diamond Xtreme athletics facility. In front of over 25 professional scouts, each player had his chance to show his skills in the pro-style workout.
After an impressive showing by the arms on hand the position players did not fail to impress. From the burst of speed shown during the 30-yard dash, to the arm strength and athleticism on display during defensive workout, to the final groups loud batting practice, there was plenty of tools for the scouts to take note of. One thing that stood out was it seemed each guy had a pretty good idea of who he is as player and what his best current tool is. The players looked comfortable and confident and it showed during their workout.
By any measure, the 2019 ProCase was a huge success for all involved. Today we dive into the performances of the hitters and position players in attendance. The numbers were loud and several prospects emerged as definite follows heading to the 2019 MLB Draft.
