2020 Preseason PBR All-Defensive Team

Spring is here in North Carolina and a weekend snow storm made that official, cancelling a lot of scrimmages across the state. As we continue to gear up for the start of the NC Baseball Season, PBR of North Carolina is releasing 4 “All-PBR” type teams. These teams will be the PBR All-Uncommitted Team, PBR All-Mashers Team, PBR All-Defensive Team, and Preseason All-PBR Team. Along with these teams, PBR of North Carolina will release previews teams and the PBR Power 25.
Today we release the PBR of NC Preseason All-Defensive Team. The goal of this club was to pick the top defenders from across the state to fill the 17 slots available on the team. The team consists of 5 pitchers, 2 catchers, 3 corner infielders, 3 middle infielders, and four outfielders. The team was selected by PBR staff after pouring through player evals, stats, high school information, speaking with scouts, and watching games throughout the last year.
The pitching staff is made up of three 2020 grads and two 2021 grads. Each arm is a MLB Draft follow entering this spring. Behind the plate, Cooper Ingle makes his second All-PBR Preseason team and he is joined by a 2019 Future Game alum, Bryan Arendt. The infield group can flat out catch the baseball. There is athleticism all over the place. When we move to the outfield we start with the two fastest players in the state, both underclassmen, Michael Gupton and Archie Dean Herring.
