#25 Green Level Takes Game 1 From Cary

Green Level defeated Cary HS 4-2 behind a complete game by Junior pitcher Levi Gingerich. Gingerich had 10 strikeouts and no walks. Green Level was led offensively by Logan Govan and Drew Downs, Bryce Friedlander, and Shane Francfort who had 7 of the Gators’ 11 hits.  This group also accounted for 2 runs scored and 3 RBIs.   

For Cary, sophomore catcher Keir Fulcher and two hits and one rbi.  The Imps did get 8 hits on the night but Green Level did not walk anyone and only committed one error, limiting Cary’s scoring chances.  

Green Level moves to 3-0 on the season, 1-0 in the Southwest 4A Conference.  Cary is 4-2, and 0-1 in the Conference.  These two will continue their two game series on Thursday at Green Level.  Cary is scheduled to play Pinecrest on Wednesday night as well.
