Alexander Central- 5. North Davidson- 0

On Friday March 18th the North Davidson Black Knights visited the Alexander Central Cougars in Taylorsville, NC. The Cougars came in unbeaten at 5-0 with the Black Knights looking for their first win in 2022.

Alexander Central scored in the first when Mason Chapman, who reached via walk, scored on a Grove Lowrance double to left field. Lowrance would score later that inning on a passed ball giving the Cougars an early 2-0 lead. The Cougars would add another run in the second and take advantage of walks and miscues to add two more runs in the fifth. That would be more than enough for Alexander Central starter Caleb Williams who was dominant in his outing tossing a complete game shutout with 5 strikeouts while only walking 1.

The Cougars were back in action on Saturday March 19th. North Davidson will host Montgomery Central on Tuesday March 22nd.
