Player: Hayden Summers
Position: RHP
School: Walters State Community College

Five-foot-11, 185-pound right hander has gotten off to a hot start for nationally ranked Walters State. The Pittsburgh commit has posted a perfect 4-0 record in 4 starts, tallying 17 innings with 21 strikeouts to 2 walks while only surrendering 1 run (0.53 ERA). With a lean, athletic frame, Summers repeats his delivery well and attacks the zone, executing all four pitches in various counts. He features a fastball in the low-90s (T93) with late life and arm side action, showing feel to command to both sides of the plate. Commands two breaking balls with 75-77 curveball and 76-80 mph slider. Curve has sharp 12/6 action with good depth while the slider has a touch more velocity and horizontal action, both tunnel well off his fastball. Rounds out the mix with high-70s changeup thrown with good arm speed and some fading action.
